The Spatial Farm

"The Spatial Farm program starts. Connecting to networks... Network connection successful. Program functioning normally. Host detected. Checking Host status... Host is functioning normally. Binding with Host. Your current level is 1st level. The system rewards you with five hundred gold coins and six bags of forage grass seeds. Each bag can be used to plant one mu of land. You currently have one reclaimed piece of land, with an area of ten mu, at level zero. You can purchase seeds you need from the store and sell the harvested produce for gold coins. Due to a network fault, you can freely enter the Farm but can only communicate with the main engine. You are unable to contact any friends. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please forgive us."

Zhao Hai stood there dumbfounded, feeling like he was in a dream. Everything seemed unreal.

However, he had just heard that voice for real. If he were on Earth, Zhao Hai wouldn't believe it, thinking it was just someone playing a prank. But here, after experiencing all that had happened, he couldn't doubt anything.

Without hesitation, Zhao Hai said in his mind, "Enter Farm."

As soon as he said that, he found himself in a different place. He was no longer in his castle but in a vast open area. The area was quite large, around ten mu, and had already been reclaimed. At the edge of the land, there was a brand-new shovel stuck into the ground. Nearby, there was a small spring with a bucket placed next to it. In one corner of the land, there was a small thatched-roofed hut. To the left of the hut, there was a grass kennel, and under the window, there were two jars labeled for insect disinfestation and weeding, respectively. There was also a basket placed beside the jars with a label that read "collect." To the right of the hut, there was a smaller thatched-roofed hut with a sign that said "warehouse." Other than these structures, the surroundings were covered in thick fog, making it hard to see anything clearly. The only things he could see were the thatched-roofed hut and the open area in front of him.

This situation was too familiar to Zhao Hai. Other than not having a background, this place was exactly like the Farm game he was most familiar with. Unlike other gaming enthusiasts, Zhao Hai preferred reading novels and even wrote some of his own, earning meager payments for his published works. However, he enjoyed it and wasn't heavily invested in gaming.

But then, a friend introduced Zhao Hai to a Farm game. It didn't require much time and had simple controls, so Zhao Hai decided to give it a try. Now, his Farm level in the game was at level 27, not too high but he had his own place and even a ranch.

However, those familiar with Farm games knew that in the beginning, the system would give you a free scene—a thatched-roofed hut—similar to the scene Zhao Hai was currently seeing. In other words, what Zhao Hai saw on his computer screen before was now visible in this Space.

Zhao Hai blankly stared at everything in front of him. He didn't know what to do and couldn't help but squat down and grab a handful of soil. But as he touched the soil, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind, saying, "Spatial Soil, 1st level, reclaimed. Can be used for planting crops, enhances crop maturity time tenfold. Can be brought into the Space for use and can improve land outside the Space."

Zhao Hai was taken aback for a moment, then he became ecstatic. He had been lacking these things, and now they were here. He immediately rushed over to the spring water, touched it with his hand, and promptly heard the voice say, "Spatial Spring Water, 1st level. Can be consumed, has beneficial effects on the human body, can be used for irrigation, enhances crop maturity time tenfold. Can be brought into the Space for use and can improve land outside the Space."

Due to this sudden stroke of good fortune, Zhao Hai was so overwhelmed with joy that he fainted. His hand was still immersed in the spring water, and he had a silly grin on his face, forgetting to retrieve his hand.

After a while, Zhao Hai regained consciousness. He stood up and laughed, saying, "Clever heavens, I never expected you to be so generous to me. Hahaha, good, good, fantastic."

Zhao Hai was well aware that upon arriving in Ark Continent, it would be impossible for him to learn any magic or battle qi. He was destined to live an ordinary life, and seeking revenge for Adam was also out of the question. However, with this Space, everything was different. Even if he couldn't seek revenge, he could still ensure the existence and prosperity of the Buda Family. It was a form of retribution to Adam.

After calming down, Zhao Hai first approached the shovel at the edge to examine it. He wanted to see if it was as mysterious as in the game. When his hand touched the shovel, the prompt sounded immediately, "Shovel, tool, 1st level. Automatically turns the soil. Operating capacity: ten mu per day. Can be brought into the Space for use."

Zhao Hai smiled once again, then he went over to the bucket and touched it. The prompt voice came through, "Bucket, tool, 1st level. Automatically irrigates the land. Operating capacity: ten mu per day. Can be brought into the Space for use."

"Pesticide, agricultural chemical, toxic. 1st level. Automatically kills harmful insects. Not for consumption. Can be brought into the Space infinitely. Dosage: /"

"Herbicide, agricultural chemical, toxic. 1st level. Automatically kills weeds. Not for consumption. Can be brought into the Space infinitely. Dosage: /"

"Basket, tool, 1st level. Automatically gathers fruit and food. Operating capacity: ten mu per day. Can be brought into the Space for use. The harvested items are automatically placed in the Warehouse."

After familiarizing himself with the items outside the hut, Zhao Hai realized that this place was similar to the game's Space, but with some differences that made it even more suitable for him.

With an excited mood, Zhao Hai entered the thatched-roofed hut. It wasn't big, but it was well-furnished. There was a wooden bed with hay spread on top, a table, four chairs, a cabinet, a set of stove and stove accessories, and a set of tableware. Most importantly, above the head of the bed, there was a computer-like device with only a display monitor.

Zhao Hai quickly approached the display monitor, which was shining. There were only two icons on the screen: one for the store and another for the Farm synopsis. In his eagerness, Zhao Hai selected the Farm synopsis. He really wanted to know what this Farm was all about.

His hand touched the icon of the Farm synopsis, and immediately, a white light flashed and entered his head. In an instant, Zhao Hai's brain was flooded with a wealth of information. After some time, he managed to digest the information and realized that he had a rough idea of how this Farm came to be.

Before arriving in this world, Zhao Hai used to play a Farm game on his computer. For some unknown reason, that game had accompanied him to this world and undergone some changes during the process. It had retained its original functions and even became more powerful. This Farm had transformed into a system that was now bound to Zhao Hai.

In other words, although Zhao Hai couldn't directly connect to the computer back on Earth through this Farm, he had full access to all the functions within the Farm. This included the store, where he could purchase items using gold coins, as well as sell harvested items for gold coins. He could bring items from outside into the Farm and take items from the Farm outside at will, all based on his own choices.

However, at its current 1st level, the Farm had limited functions. To advance to higher levels, Zhao Hai needed to engage in activities such as planting, watering, and pest control to earn experience points and level up slowly. He could also bring specific items from outside into the Space to help it evolve and level up. In other words, Zhao Hai had acquired an extraordinary cheat-like ability.

Zhao Hai couldn't help but burst into laughter. With this incredible Space, he believed that development would not be a difficult task. Even if seeking revenge for Adam and the Buda Family seemed impossible, a bold plan began to form in Zhao Hai's mind.

He could improve the Black Wasteland using the Spatial Soil and Spatial Water, effectively turning it into a vast and productive piece of land. With such a development, he could recruit more forces and become a regional powerhouse. Then, he would have the means to seek revenge for the Buda Family...

After a moment, Zhao Hai regained his composure and shook his head with a smile. He realized that he was getting ahead of himself. There were still many unknowns and challenges ahead. First, he needed to fully understand his current situation and surroundings before making any ambitious plans.

While Zhao Hai was contemplating, he conveniently selected the icon that led to the store. Immediately, a prompt sound echoed, saying, "Welcome to the Spatial Shop. What item would you like to purchase?"

Zhao Hai looked at the screen, which displayed pictures of various agricultural crops from Earth. Below each picture was the price and level. He understood that this was similar to the game he used to play. Without further exploration, he closed the store page and continued to examine the surroundings.

He approached the cabinet, believing that it held more than mere decorations. However, to his disappointment, touching the cabinet did not trigger any prompt sound. Zhao Hai was taken aback but decided to open the cabinet. Inside, he found three items: a small purse, a short staff with a carved face, and a short staff with a carved grass design. Seeing these items, Zhao Hai could almost guess their purpose.

He picked up the small purse, and as expected, a prompt sound immediately sounded, informing him, "Purse, capable of storing gold coins. The quantity is unlimited. You currently have 500 gold coins. Due to your low level, gold coins cannot be transferred into the Space."

Zhao Hai was momentarily stunned, but then a smile spread across his face. Although the prompt message was brief, he understood its implications. This purse seemed to function as a Space Bag specifically for storing gold coins. However, what caught his attention was the statement about being unable to transfer gold coins into the Space due to his low level. This meant that once his level increased, he could bring gold coins from the outside world into the Space. If that were true, it would be incredible.
