Amadeus Yancey handed Lily over to Alfred Garland, letting him carry the child to bed for sleep.
He then poured a glass of water for Nathalie Quinlan and passed it to her.
His fingers were elegant, making the glass cup look exceptionally clean and charming. Nathalie blinked, her voice hoarse, "Thanks."
She took the cup from his hand, tilted her head back and gulped down the whole glass of water, finally feeling alive again.
She was too tired, so tired that she didn't even want to speak. She placed the cup on the table and said to the two people in the living room, "I'm going to take a nap."
"Go ahead, I'll make some porridge for you and call you when it's ready," Amadeus Yancey said as he took off his trench coat, revealing a black thin sweater underneath. The smooth lines of his waist and abdomen beneath the sweater seemed almost seductive.
Audrick Zachmann frowned repeatedly at the sight.
