Aunt Cagwin's motion of pouring chicken soup paused, "Not yet."
Not wanting her long-sick husband to worry too much, she feigned ease and said, "He's probably out playing somewhere again, he'll come home when he's had enough fun on his own."
As she spoke, she focused on pouring the chicken soup into a bowl and brought it over, "Don't worry about him, taking care of your own health is most important! He's a grown man, and a boy at that, could he really be kidnapped? Come on, have some soup."
Uncle Cagwin gazed at her deeply, took the bowl from her hands, didn't drink, and instead placed the bowl full of chicken soup back on the table.
"Ever since Nathalie found him and brought him back, he hasn't skipped class for no reason. I think this time he's determined to go to university, there's no reason he would go back to hanging out with that crowd and mingling in society."
