Caleb Mamet's gaze was sharp, filled with intense killing intent. His voice was deep and hoarse, "She doesn't want to be exposed yet, I can cooperate with her, but…"
He could not tolerate Xaviera Evans being in danger alone, nor could he imagine what was happening at the Hughes Villa at the moment. The agony of not being able to contact her was too unbearable.
Cory Hughes returned to the villa and watched Caleb's car leave through the surveillance system, finally letting out a sigh of relief. Unbeknownst to him, the car stopped after getting out of the surveillance range, and Caleb swiftly got out.
On the other hand, Mrs. Hughes had to leave the guest room out of fear of being discovered. Cory probably thought that even if the antidote worked, Xaviera wouldn't wake up so quickly, so he didn't bother guarding her.
