"Boom!"
The deafening sound echoed across the battlefield, like two towering mountains colliding.
A massive, radiant blue inverted triangular crystal floated in midair, with Aizen standing inside it, a faint smile on his face. The two pitch-black rock mountains on either side pressed against the crystal with tremendous force.
"Crack! Crack!"
The black rock mountains shed chunks of stone as if a massive ship were carving its way through an iceberg.
Yet, despite the immense pressure, the massive floating crystal remained unmoved.
At that moment...
"Swish!" "Swish!" "Swish!"
Several small black figures leapt into the sky, their bodies glowing with intense chakra.
These ninjas hovered high in the air, accompanied only by the stars and moon. Though tiny against the vast expanse of nature, they exuded an imposing aura of determination.
Their clothing fluttered in the night breeze, chakra enveloping their forms like a shield.
Aizen glanced at them out of the corner of his eye and chuckled lightly.
"Ah, ninja from the Mist and Sand Villages. Even you dare to step forward? How amusing."
In the sky above, the figures revealed themselves to be Yagura of the Mist Village and Rasa of the Sand Village.
Yagura stood on a massive water bubble, while Rasa floated on a dense mass of gold sand. Neither responded to Aizen's taunt; their faces remained solemn as they fixed their intense gazes on him.
Ōnoki, standing nearby, snorted coldly and said firmly,
"Aizen, this ninja world isn't yours to rule over."
With that, Ōnoki abandoned his "Mountain Stone Technique" and swiftly formed new hand seals. Clasping his hands together, he conjured a blazing white cube that shimmered with concentrated energy.
"Buzz—"
A faint tremor rippled through the air as the cube formed, and a sharp gleam flashed in Ōnoki's eyes. He shouted.
"Dust Release. Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"
"Zing!"
A massive beam of white energy shot from the cube in Ōnoki's hands, hurtling toward Aizen.
At the same time, Yagura and Rasa completed their own hand seals.
A surge of water-blue chakra bubbled around Yagura's body, forming what appeared to be three tails behind him.
"Gloop, gloop…"
With a bubbling sound, a colossal water sphere materialized before Yagura. Focusing his chakra, he shouted.
"Ninja Art. True Water Cannon!"
"Boom!"
The water sphere rocketed forward, tearing through the air as it shot toward Aizen, scattering droplets in its wake.
Beside him, Rasa momentarily hesitated at the sight of Yagura's mysterious chakra tails but quickly resumed his own attack. Completing his seals, he raised his hands to the sky and yelled.
"Magnet Release. Gold Sand Sky Curtain!"
"Rumble—"
An overwhelming torrent of gold sand surged upward, spreading out like a massive curtain intent on engulfing Aizen.
Rasa's earlier failure to harm Aizen had wounded his pride, and now he sought redemption by defeating this seemingly invincible foe.
Inside the enormous inverted crystal, Aizen appeared calm and unbothered despite being surrounded by an onslaught of attacks.
The corners of his mouth lifted in a faint smile, and his deep, amused eyes glinted as he spoke softly.
"Do you really think this is enough to defeat me? How foolish."
Turning his gaze to Yagura, a sharp gleam flickered in his eyes as he mused aloud,
"The Three-Tails Jinchūriki, here of all places? I suppose this must be Shino's arrangement."
As his words trailed off, the incoming attacks reached him.
"Sizzle—"
The blazing white beam from Ōnoki's "Dust Release" met the crystal's surface. It sliced through the crystalline structure effortlessly, like molten steel cutting through butter, heading straight for Aizen.
With a subtle glance, Aizen shifted his body slightly, reappearing on the opposite side of the crystal. His previous position vanished in a fading afterimage as the beam obliterated it.
Before anyone could process this, the next wave of attacks arrived.
"Boom!"
The massive water sphere smashed into the crystal, shattering part of its surface.
"Crash!"
The brilliant blue crystal fragmented under the impact, scattering radiant shards in every direction. The shards sparkled under the moonlight, like a cascade of stars.
But the assault wasn't over yet.
"Zzzap!"
The scattered water droplets from the shattered sphere coalesced, as if controlled by some unseen force, forming bullet-like projectiles that shot toward Aizen.
"Swish!" "Swish!" "Swish!"
The air filled with the sound of water bullets slicing through the night, leaving faint trails as they raced toward Aizen.
Still unfazed, Aizen's expression remained calm. His lips parted slightly, as though he were about to speak.
In the next instant...
"Whoosh!" "Whoosh!" "Whoosh!"
Aizen's figure began moving at an incredible speed, darting through the air as if gravity held no sway over him.
He left behind countless afterimages—neither clones nor illusions but traces of his sheer speed. The water projectiles failed to land a single hit, as he evaded each one with ease.
"Did you truly think such slow attacks could harm me?" Aizen's voice finally echoed after the assault ended.
The speed and precision of his movements left the gathered ninjas stunned. Even the most experienced among them couldn't follow his movements.
In the sky, Ōnoki, Rasa, and Yagura wore grim expressions, their shock palpable.
"How… how is this possible? Is Aizen truly using nothing but his body?"
"With such speed… how can anyone land a hit on him?" Yagura muttered, unable to hide his disbelief.
Despite his frustration, Rasa refused to give up. Spreading his arms wide, he expanded his "Gold Sand Sky Curtain" to double its previous size. The immense sand spread across the sky, forming a dark canopy that seemed to blot out the moonlight.
"As long as I can catch him—just once—there's no way he can escape!" Rasa whispered, his voice trembling with determination.
The sand closed in on Aizen, forming a massive sphere that encased him completely. Under the moonlight, the golden sphere gleamed with an almost divine radiance.
"Finally!" Rasa shouted, unable to contain his elation.
Cheers erupted from the Sand and Stone ninjas below.
"We did it! We've finally defeated him!"
"The monster is gone! We're safe now!"
Yet, while others celebrated, the Konoha contingent, including Jiraiya and Tsunade, stood silent, their expressions heavy with doubt.
"Could it really be that easy?" Jiraiya muttered, his eyes fixed on the golden sphere.
Ōnoki, too, frowned, his face dark with suspicion.
"No... it's not over yet," he said softly, just as his words trailed off, his expression shifted to one of shock.
