Chapter 37: Indoctrination, Ascension and Determined Disciple.

With both Lin Boshuang and the unnamed lady waking up at the same time now, after already having been unconscious for a whole day and a half. Xue Tie gets dressed into his regular clothes which is the standard dark blue robe. He sits down in a seat in front of the two of them.

They awaken and are both confused but they see Xue Tie as a 'familiar face'

"Doc, did it work?" Lin Boshuang asks excitedly

"Release your own martial spirit and find out" Xue Tie simply says

While the woman is being silent and not struggling against her restraints, they both unleash their martial spirits and they see a purple for the first ring, yellow for the 2nd and Lin Boshuang who is over level 30 has his original purple ring.

The woman has a shocked expression while Boshuang almost has tears of joy

"It worked. It really worked. What will happen to us now Doc?" He excitedly yells but then quiets down a bit and asks

"Well, there are a few options but I'd like to first deliver an offer to you both to join my newly made organization. For you see, my clan is an ancient one from long before the origin of heaven Dou and many of the current major clans. In fact, it was their betrayal that led to our downfall and their rise. I wish to establish an organization to overthrow these specific clans and re-establish the original kingdom." Xue Tie gives a rundown of the history of Mohgwyn and the Xue clan which naturally shocks both 'peasants'.

Lin Boshuang seems excited and has stars in his eyes as he can imagine the grand scene of history while the woman has a frown and a fairly dark expression. She speaks up now.

"What if we don't want to join?" "Speak for yourself, who cares about Slaughter City, and some domain we will never get." Boshuang seems quite adamant about joining which makes Xue Tie smile a bit and he calmly answers

"Ill simply throw you back into Slaughter City, I have no need for you. I could offer this opportunity to hundreds of other spirit masters in Slaughter City and surely many would jump at the chance, if even to only kill more and get stronger from my methods. I don't need talent when I can make it. I just need willing people" He says and partially thinks of Xia Wei's bond ability which can help groups of people elevate their strength however they need.

Humans are after all Social creatures, if someone can't do something by themselves, then find a method to do it as a group. Numbers and intellect are their biggest assets.

The woman has a pondering look on her after shivering a bit from Xue Tie's lack of regard for her While Lin Boshuang outright says

"Ill join you" Xue Tie grins and stands up while saying

"Welcome to the group. You are technically part of the founding members right now. After a few days, Ill help your 2nd ring also increase in power and we will see if any growth can be gained by your third after that. In the meantime, you are welcome to cultivate here. Just don't bother my student" he simply says as he unlocks the bindings on him.

The woman now realizes the final point of the situation. If she doesnt accept, he may just throw her back into Slaughter City whilst chained up still. Death is assured in such a scenario without her spirit power. She begins trying to use her martial spirit and spirit power to break out of the bindings but that only ends with her receiving a smack to the face.

"Naughty. You have gained new power and simply try to escape without returning any sort of favor. How heartless" Xue Tie mockingly states and after equipping his robes of blood. He drags her away to the domain room.

"Reaper!!. No, no, noooooooooooooo" her fear becomes quite apparent as Xue Tie throws her in and begins on her 'treatment'

He beats her up to the point of unconsciousness before healing her. He leaves her there and tells Lin Boshuang that if she escapes and tries to leave then he is to stop her. He obediently nods and is promised that starting tomorrow, his 2nd ring would be strengthened. Boshuang puffs up his chest while saluting his would-be captor. His respect is higher now that he knows that the man who bestowed upon him strength was such a notorious figure like the reckless reaper who sent the slums of Slaughter City into a crazy spur and smacked around the notorious guardsman of the city.

Xue Tie returns to the cultivation room and begins modifying his own rings. He is only able to do this every few days due to the strain on his body and mind. During his free type, he kept re-educating the woman in the domain room. She tried to escape once but had been beaten down by Boshuang who was nearly untouchable to her as his strengthened ring allowed his defense to be much higher than before.

A month passes in this fashion with the woman finally submitting and willing to follow. He grants her a few days of reprieve but she seems to have become even more traumatized by Xue Tie that she shakes in his presence. Boshuang instead had his 2nd ring elevated to 1k-years-old and his third gained a thousand years before it looked like he was reaching his limit in one session. During these times, he had been forced to rest and only lightly cultivate so as to not overstrain himself if he increases his spirit level.

Yu Yue was the weirdest one in this whole situation. When she learned of Xue Tie's ambition, she was adamant in joining and had redoubled her cultivation efforts. Her speed increased quite a bit that she is near level 19 at 9 years old like, this is comparable to Bibi Dong. She should be able to reach level 20 in at most 2 or 3 more days. Granted, it helped that Xue Tie regularly gave her the blood potions to help her spirit power. And the over consumption of it along with an accidental touch from Xue Tie's trident.

Her martial Spirit had somehow mutated into a new book form. The previous symbol on the book which Xue Tie can only assume was a marker of King Yama. It has been replaced with a skull shape and the book has gained the same vein-like patterns as his gloves did and the trident has.

Through experimentation, it was discovered that her control over the blood of her zombies has increased, allowing them to draw out more of their power rather than just the bones and muscles and being treated akin to a puppet controlled by a Marionette. It's a direct 2x boost to her combat power. Of course he has not boosted her ring yet. He is waiting until she is either close to level 30 or past level 30 to try. Xue Tie didn't want to take any chances with her being so weak. Especially since the beast she killed was already above her limits. The mental turmoil might have directly melted her brain or turned her into the shadow fist kangaroo itself.

Once the tests were over, Lin Boshuang and the newly learned name of the woman, Bie Xu. Xue Tie had been slowly brainwashing them to be more devout to his cause and the first result of this was a renaming ceremony.

Akin to a knighting ceremony, he had them both kneel while he bestowed upon them new names. For Lin Boshuang, he was named Adam while Bie Xu was named Eve. They are after all, his first creations, in a Psychological aspect at least.

The ceremony ended without much fanfare except a small feast as the newly named Eve had taken over food duties voluntarily. Xue Tie hasn't found any instance of poisoning and as such, has allowed her to continue. Not that poison would work much against him even before he augmented his body. He had already tempered his body from the level 50 poison of Bibi Dong during the years long training sessions back in Spirit Hall before he was given his mission.

Xue Tie kept increasing the age of his rings every so often and did the same to both Adam and Eve. Eve now sports 2 purple rings as well and her cultivation has not risen due to only recently, not being treated as a prisoner.
