"Rebounding light" The generals 3rd spirit ring flashes and a dense light gathers on his fist before it's thrust forward to collide with Xue Tie's face. He tries to dodge but is already recovering from the first blow and his back is to the wall so his space is limited to maneuver. The fist collides with him and the dense light smacks into him as an aftermath but then it bounces off and continues bouncing off the surrounding walls but always returning towards Xue Tie. constantly assaulting him within this cramped space.

Xue Tie can only try to destroy the bouncing beam of light but fails to do so as the general doesnt let up, using his first skill multiple times to condense light around his fists and continue smacking Xue Tie.

Xue Tie is forced to use the 2nd and 4th spirit rings on his trident at the same time to create a scene of constant explosions around him. This breaks the beam and sends the general back enough for him to catch his breath.

"Haaaa, haaa, cough, cough" Xue Tie coughs up some blood while canceling the two heavy energy spirit rings.

Ringggg…The general Tie Xue is about to move forward for another collision when he stops to cough up some blood as Xue Tie uses his third trident ring : Tiger Roar depicting death to weaken the general and give himself a small bit more time.

Xue Tie chugs down a potion, almost choking on it due to his injuries. This can be considered his hardest fight except the squirrel he fought alongside bibi dong for his first Spirit hall mission. He almost lost his arm then but now, he is getting his shit kicked in and not liking it at all.

The next few minutes pass with Xue Tie and the general continuing their fight. Xue Tie is getting used to the generals rhythm but the opposite is also true. Thus creating a standstill situation many times.

What the general doesnt notice though is that through multiple uses of Xue Tie's 3rd ring, the barrier around them began flickering until finally one of the 4 collapses. Vomiting blood until they are knocked unconscious due to blood loss. With a weak point, the cube turns into a triangle and clustering the general and Xue Tie. This would have been an advantage in the small space but it's his attacks that are actually the ones damaging the barrier around them from either the multiple uses of rebounding light or just the shockwave of his other abilities.

Xue Tie decides to finally break out and uses his 5th ring from the armor and summons up the fire tornado which shatters the already greatly weakened barriers. The 3 who are still awake begin to retreat but not before coughing up a ton of blood and then dragging the unconscious 4th away. But with the barrier down, the general takes Xue Tie's slight moment of relation to unleash his 7th ring which summons his martial avatar which this time is a pair of golden floating gloves that are giant.

"Fucker, just chill out."

"AND DIE"

Xue Tie is on the brink of malding as he is constantly suppressed by the general. Tie Xue who has grown more confident about the outcome of the fight returns the mocking.

"Whats wrong? Having trouble standing? Maybe your low on iron"

"FUCKER" Xue Tie is forced to constantly switch between his martial spirits to activate immutable to block the attacks of the pair of gauntlets. This constant transition proves too much as Xue Tie collapses onto the ground.

"Huh, haaa, haaa" The general is panting as he isn't at the top of his game for a while now. He is absolutely brought to his limits but he cant let his guard down yet. Afterall, Xue Tie's martial spirits are still present and his energy seems to be rising.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" A gutteral roar echoes throughout the capital as a 40ft tall cloaked figure with golden black robes and 100ft tall trident in hand.

The general only has a shocked expression as he almost whispers out…."Self…. Martial…Spirit…fusion…but how? Did he somehow merge his twin martial spirits? But what about the spirit harmonization?" Sweat covers his body as his knowledge is overturned. The giant robed figure looks down at him but it's only for a brief moment before both thin grey hands of the martial spirit avatar grasps the trident. They thrust up into the sky as an apocalyptic call is heard, even far beyond the walls of the castle city.

"NIHIL" The general and his 4 subordinates and all the enemy soldiers suddenly explode into pools of blood. Their bones, organs and muscles are all made into a liquid state.

Clang, clang, clang. Hundreds of armors land on the ground as their wielders turn into slushy. The Empyrean soldiers are all shocked but when they look around and only notice the enemy dying, they cheer and then begin to look for their king. (imagine the watermelon from Tron)

They find him collapsed and while his body is rapidly healed. They look at him in awe and decide to move him to a better place. This task is done by his generals who bring him to the capitals throne room and into the king's seat. While the rest begin to scavenge the city or tend to their wounded but that is a quick process thanks to the position.

They collect the armor and other equipment of their fallen foe. Finding the hidden vaults which would be opened later, finding or drawing maps themselves of the city. A good number of them are from the Blood Hall organization and thus had some administrative talent. This is even more so amongst the weaker folks who had used up their energy for

The generals had repositioned Xue Tie into the capital's king's chair. They think of the glory that is their new kingdom and how it has taken another step towards becoming an empire

A/N

So if you're curious why the general is confused, it's because self harmonization has literally never been seen before in douluo Dalu 1. Even actual martial spirit fusion is astronomically rare due to the need for compatibility in both spirit and affinities. The only one that is actually know about in sl1 is during canon when Hu Liena and her brother Xie Yue create Charm Demon or Shui Bing er and Shui Yue er from the sky water academy making the drifting snow fusion.

Wu Sidao (sl3), Tang Xuanyu(sl4-son of Tang Wulin from sl3), Hu Jie (Body sect leader from sl3) Lan Mengqin (4.5 or 4 since she is same era as Tang Xuanyu). This is the entire list of self harmonized martial spirit masters. It's ungodly rare which is why I held off so long to unleash it.

There is a soul land 1 fanfic where the mc got self harmonization super early and then used that to fight titled douluos at level 40. Granted all his ring abilities are bs anyways. I enjoyed the book but that doesnt make it any less absurd ("Douluo: my Spirit is a Spirit Ring" for those interested)
