Uncontrollable Power

"Am I... dead?"

She wondered.

As she slightly opened her eyes, she felt a surge of relief wash over her. The scene came into focus, revealing I was standing tall, my gauntlet gleaming in the dim light of the smoke-filled room.

Dorven staggered back, clutching his face where a powerful punch had landed moments ago.

Siana was shocked by the scene in front of her. She watched in disbelief as my punch connected with Dorven's face, the force of the blow sending him flying across the room.

He crashed into the wall with a thunderous impact, leaving a deep crack in the stone.

As I stood right in front of her, the powerful aura radiating from my gauntlet cast an intense glow with the black and red energy swirling around my fist.

She was distressed by the injuries on my back, but as she watched, she saw something astonishing. The holes from the tentacle strikes began to regenerate and heal themselves.

Her eyes widened in disbelief, unable to comprehend how such rapid healing was possible. The wounds closed up before her very eyes, leaving her with a mixture of relief and bewilderment.

"Heh... that girl sure is lucky."

Dorven said, unsticking himself from the wall with a twisted grin.

"Guess we've finally started the real fight, huh…"

His voice dripped with malice as he stood there menacingly, his eyes locked onto mine, a dark aura swirling around him.

Suddenly, I opened my right gauntlet hand wide, veins pulsed and twisted along my arm toward my palm

From within, a black and red crystal began to form, growing and taking shape until it transformed into a fearsome dagger, dark and menacing, its blade gleaming with a deadly aura.

"Oh~ So that's how you bring it out… heh, Interesting…"

Dorven chuckled with a mix of amusement and curiosity dancing in his eyes. He watched intently as I summoned the dagger from my hand, marveling at the unique ability to manifest a weapon through the pulsing veins.

I started to crouch down, readying my body to strike. In the blink of an eye, I dashed towards him and slashed at him with the dagger, but he dodged it perfectly, moving just a slight inch to the side.

The force of my strike left a deep gash in the wall behind him. I swung again, aiming for his face, but he effortlessly dodged with his movements smooth and precise.

The impact of my attack sliced through the air with a sharp, menacing sound.

Dorven's eyes gleamed with excitement, a sinister grin spreading across his face as he danced around my attacks.

He continued to dodge every one of my strikes as the battle grew more intense as we dashed across the room surrounded by smoke. Suddenly, a shadowy circle appeared behind him, and from its depths emerged a menacing dagger.

Amid our high-speed exchange, he grabbed the dagger with a swift motion and struck at me in an instant. I barely managed to block it with my dagger and the force of his attack pushed me back slightly.

"You're not the only one who knows how to make a weapon..."

Dorven sneered, his faceless visage twisted with a sinister grin.

"...I'm an EmoCrysta user too, y'know?"

As I was pushed back, Dorven's dagger began to emit a menacing purple aura. Without warning, he dashed towards me with incredible speed, his movements a blur as he toyed with me. His dagger struck at me relentlessly.

I could barely deflect some of his strikes, but his speed was overwhelming. With each block, he sent shocks through my arms.

"YOU JUST HAVE 20% OF THE POWER, WHAT ARE THOSE GONNA DO FOR YOU?"

He sneered with his voice dripping with condescension.

While he kept slashing at me, a sudden change surged within me. Dorven sensed something was wrong. My aura expanded rapidly, creating a shockwave that forced him to fall back.

As Dorven dodged away, he began to scrutinize me. His eyes widened with disbelief before an eerie, evil giggle escaped his lips.

"Heh, even after I've stolen your power... you can still regain it through your rage. Fascinating…"

He muttered, his voice dripping with sinister fascination.

Dorven saw that my power level had increased to 30%. His excitement was palpable, knowing the battle was far from over and only growing more intense.

A menacing aura radiated from my appearance as I stood before him. My chest started to glow dark red, the light shining through my tattered t-shirt as my crimson gauntlet began to glow brighter and sharper, casting an eerie light.

With a menacing look in my eyes, I slowly walked toward him. Dorven's gaze locked onto me, his expression twisted with laughter, seeing me as a living, horrifying monster.

With each step, a dark red aura slowly emanated from my feet. Dorven summoned two menacing purple glowing daggers from a shadowy circle.

Gripping my single dark red dagger in my right gauntlet, we both dashed toward each other, our daggers clashing in a shower of sparks as we struck with precision and fury.

Siana watched in awe as our speeds increased, the scene unfolding like light flashes in front of her eyes. It was as if time itself struggled to keep up with our movements, the intensity of the clash leaving her breathless and wide-eyed.

Each strike resonated through the room, metal against metal echoing like a relentless storm. Dorven's menacing grin never faltered, but neither did my resolve.

The ground beneath us cracked from our battle's sheer force, sending shockwaves rattling the walls.

As our movements went beyond the speed of sight, suddenly, in the blink of an eye, my dagger sliced through Dorven's right arm. His eyes widened in surprise, yet a twisted smile spread across his face as he staggered back.

"Heh... you've gotten faster."

He said, his voice laced with both admiration and malice.

He glanced at his severed right arm with a sneer, and suddenly, a black shadowy aura enveloped the stump. In a matter of moments, his arm began to regenerate, the dark energy coalescing to form a new limb.

The shadowy aura pulsed around it, making the regenerated arm look even more menacing than before.

"Let's see how much faster you can get."

Dorven said, flexing his new shadowy arm with a satisfied grin. The aura around it seemed to crackle with dark energy, a testament to his unnerving resilience.

Siana was surprised, her mind racing with the realization that EmoCrysta could regenerate their bodies. This explained how I had managed to heal my back injuries just a while ago.

The incredible power of EmoCrysta seemed limitless, its potential both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Dorven, with his regenerated arm, continued to press his attack, but I was ready. Each clash of our weapons sent shockwaves through the room, the force of our strikes creating sparks that lit up the dim space.

My gauntlet glowed brighter with each hit, the dark red aura swirling around me like a storm.

"Is this what it means to truly wield an EmoCrysta?"

Siana wondered with her heart pounding in her chest, if it was possible to kill an EmoCrysta User as they could regenerate their body.

As we battled at lightning speed, Dorven kept slashing at me with his remaining dagger. Our daggers clashed furiously, sparks flying with each strike. Finding an opening, I managed to slash off his left arm.

"Hey… it seems you REALLY don't like me using a dagger, huh? Fine… I'll JUST USE MY HANDS INSTEAD."

Dorven's voice dripped with annoyance, but he smiled wickedly. His left arm regenerated in an instant.

Before I could react, his right hand gripped me tightly, and with his newly restored left hand, he punched me hard, sending me flying across the room and crashing into the corner walls.

Dorven laughed as he fell to the ground, landing on his feet perfectly. He started to walk slowly toward me, a sneer on his faceless smile.

"I'm impressed, Aki… your power is truly amazing, but in the end… you're still wea—"

His words were cut off as he suddenly coughed up blood. Shock registered on his face as pain surged through his body, his EmoCrysta struggling with the overload of emotion and power.

He could feel the EmoCrysta within his heart reaching a critical point, his body unable to handle the strain. Desperation crept into his expression as he questioned the sudden turn of events, realizing he had overused his emotions to fuel his power.

With each step, he coughed more blood, the EmoCrysta inside his ring pushing him to his limits.

Dorven staggered, his sneer faltering for the first time. The dark energy around him flickered erratically, and he fell to one knee, gripping his chest in agony. The realization dawned on him: his power was consuming him from within.

"What's this..? How is this possible?"

He muttered, his voice trembling.

His vision blurred as the EmoCrysta's energy began to destabilize, and he fought to stay conscious, his once menacing presence now a shadow of its former self.

Suddenly, he saw me walking through the smoke, a dark red aura surrounding me, glaring at him with an expression devoid of emotion.

As Dorven realized his entire plan to take revenge on that person had been ruined, a look of fury twisted his features.

"YOU SON OF A—"

He roared, his voice trembling with anger.

His annoyance and rage boiled over because he knew that whatever the outcome of this battle, it would leave him weak and emotionally shattered. With a feral scream, he dashed toward me, striking me in the blink of an eye.

In a quick moment, I blocked his strike, and as his momentum slowed, I seized the opportunity. My leg shot out, kicking his waist with a huge impact that sent him flying into the side of the wall.

Dorven crashed against the wall with a thunderous noise, the force of the impact causing cracks to spiderweb out from where he landed. He slumped to the ground, momentarily dazed, as I stood tall, my aura pulsing with the intensity of my determination.

Dorven struggled to unstick himself from the wall, but before he could make a move, I dashed towards him without wasting a second.

I struck him with my gauntlet, sending him into the air. I dashed again, striking him repeatedly. His overloaded state weakened him, leaving him unable to move.

With a final, powerful strike, I sent him hurtling to the ground at bullet speed, creating a massive crack in the floor. His body lay motionless on the shattered ground, looking utterly defeated, unable to utter a single word.

A slight crack revealed his skin beneath the armor, and his faceless visage half-revealed his right eyes and mouth. As I landed on the ground, I walked towards him, standing above with my right-hand dagger raised, ready to end his life.

Suddenly, Dorven sneered through his half-exposed face and both hands touched on the ground, preparing to make an unexpected move.

The floor started to turn into a shadow, pulling both of us into a dark abyss. My surroundings transformed into a void of complete darkness, with nothing visible around me.

As I struck at his chest, his body faded into a shadow, floating upwards while drawing upon his last reserves of power and raising his hand to create a giant black and purple aura black hole.

"You've finally done it… Years of preparation to take revenge on that bastard… ruined."

Dorven's voice echoed eerily around the darkness before he burst into crazed laughter.

"Before I became emotionless… As this black hole strikes at you, you will be... inside this Eternal Abyss... FOREVER."

Suddenly, multiple purple shadow figures emerged from the darkness and the ground, swarming towards me with relentless fury. The sheer number of them made it seem like an endless assault.

"You will be staying here to fight them for ETERNITY."

Dorven's maniacal laughter echoed through the darkness as he spoke.

I kept slashing at the endless swarm of shadow figures, my movements blurring in a desperate flurry of strikes. Each time I aimed for Dorven from above, but met only with his intangible form, like striking at smoke.

Suddenly, all of the shadowy figures converged into his black hole, swelling it to completion.

As the process concluded…

"The time has come, Aki…"

The enormous black hole descended upon me like a meteor hurtling through space.

But then…

Dorven suddenly sensed something was amiss.

"Hey, you've gotta be kidding me…"

His shock was evident as he felt my aura power surge dramatically. Dorven scrutinized my EmoCrysta power, noting an increase of 40%.

As the black hole loomed closer, I tightened my grip on the sword, pulling back with all my strength. With a resounding slash, the blade cleaved through the darkness, unleashing a tremendous explosion that shattered the abyss.

The force of the blast reverberated through the void, leaving Dorven reeling. The powerful slash cut a deep, jagged gash across his armor, leaving him half-naked and sprawled on the ground, blood from his wounds splattering around him.

The abyss vanished in the aftermath, leaving behind a single monumental wound slashed across Dorven's armor. He staggered, his once-imposing form now half-naked, and collapsed on the ground, bloodied and defeated.

Dorven's once formidable appearance faded, returning him to the visage of a wounded man, blood seeping from his numerous injuries.

"So this... is how it ends."

He muttered through coughs, a bitter sneer of defeat etched on his face as he lay sprawled on the ground.

Echoing footsteps approached him, growing nearer with each passing moment.

I approached him with deliberate steps, my gaze cold and unyielding as I stood squarely before him, poised for the decisive strike.

"Heh, you're just like that... Rage Knight.

His mocking words, as I tightened my grip on the hilt of my blade.

In his final moments, his eyes lost their spark, succumbing to the same emotionless void that had consumed his soul. The air around us grew tense with anticipation, punctuated only by the sound of my blade slicing through the stillness.

Without a flicker of emotion on my face, I brought an end to his life with a swift, decisive stroke across his neck.

As Siana emerged from the shadows and beheld Dorven lying defeated on the ground, she attempted to rise and catch up to me.

However, her body was too battered and bruised to respond to her commands. I turned slowly, locking eyes with her, my demeanor devoid of any emotion or discernible expression…

I stood close to her, and she sensed my presence as she gazed down at the ground. A smile began to form on her lips, accompanied by tears welling in her eyes, as she realized that I had emerged victorious from the battle.

As she looked up to see me, her smile faded away, a hint of unease creeping into her expression. Something about me seemed different, unsettling even.

My hand was poised high, the sword gleaming menacingly in the dim light, ready to unleash its deadly strike.

"H-hey Aki… what are you doing?"

Siana's voice quivered with fear as she uttered my name, pleading for understanding.

Yet, despite her trembling words, a chilling resolve gripped me, driving the strike downward toward her.

Suddenly, a loud metallic clang echoed through the air, startling Siana into slightly opening her eyes. To her relief and horror, it was her brother, Leroy, who had intercepted my strike just in time to prevent harm from befalling her.

Leroy's expression hardened into a mixture of concern and disbelief as he faced me, his sword poised defensively between us.

The emotionless menace radiating from me seemed to freeze the air around us, casting a pall of uncertainty over the scene.

"What are you doing? Aki."

Leroy's voice wavered slightly, betraying his confusion and seriousness as he tried to comprehend the situation unfolding before him.
