*Jessica*
Felix seemed panicked about the idea of Linc getting into the lab, slipping out from under me and ruining our cuddle session as he crawled around and gathered up his clothes from wherever we’d ended up throwing them.
“What’s the big deal, Felix?” I asked him. “Linc isn’t going to come in here without permission.”
“You’re thinking of vampires, Jessica,” Felix retorted as he began pulling on his pants. “And you’re not even thinking of real vampires.”
“You’re right, I’m thinking about polite people,” I countered.
A sharp CRACKING sound came from the door, one loud enough to make me flinch. Looking at the door, I saw the hinges were being pulled out of the wall. Even as I watched, the door buckled with another crack.
“Does that seem like something polite people would do to you?” Felix asked me.
“No,” I had to agree, and I didn’t waste any time getting to where I had left my gown.
