Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

"Splendid!" The angel spoke as it reached within its clothes for something. They fished out two golden rings - each one had an insignia of a lion upon it. "By the way, my name is Saros. I've been working with the God of War for-"

"No one cares, Saroth." Ryo said as he was starting to become impatient.

He's reminding me more and more of Axel, Jun thought.

"Well, no need to be rude. But I suppose it's in your nature." Saros said rolling their eyes. "In any case, there is a ring for each of you. You'll need to wear it to cross over to this side." They held out their hand through the barrier with the two rings in the palm.

Ryo snatched up the ring and immediately put it on as Jun was a bit more hesitant to do so.

"What do these rings do exactly?" He asked.

"A few things actually. For starters, it's what will allow you to walk through this barrier. The rest will be explained after you start."
