Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

The outcome of using the second release was still a mystery to Jun.

He only used it twice and each time he pulled back before actually cutting the string - the first time against Sigmus and the second time against Ryo. Even though he slays angels day in and day out, the idea of having a weapon that's a one shot kill that can be a deciding factor...makes a person overthink.

But Jun knew that this time was different than the others; even if she wasn't the strongest enemy they faced today she was still a formidable one with her ability.

Jun and Cirena both watched the broken string fall to the ground below.

I don't feel any different. Jun thought. Good, I didn't accidentally cut it too short.

Cirena searched over her body since she had no clue what was going on. "Wait, did you actually do something to me?"

"I guess we'll both find out." Jun commented.
