Nicholas Sakurada////

Mom places her hands on my cheeks making me look her in the eyes.

"Don't forget the reason you married her, don't forget what that woman did." She said as tears fell down her cheeks.

My mother was a strong woman who could do anything she put her mind to but whenever she thought of my sister and what happened to her the night she died she loses all her strength.

"Nick I see the way you look at that woman and I wonder if you forget that she took-"

"How can I forget?!" I shout startling her. "Mother I have to look in Samantha's eyes and tell her that I love her knowing what she and her disgusting father did to my sister."

She looks at me unconvinced. "Then tell me, How are you going to punish her?"

"She will be the one to get rid of michael and spend the rest of her life in jail."

Samantha is going to be the person that will end Michael's life. Since she hates him so much already its only fair she goes down for his death.

"What if she doesn't do it?"

"She will be guilty mom, wether its you or me that pulls that trigger, Samantha will be guilty regardless."

My mother looks pleased hearing my plan for Samantha and Michael. Ever since finding out my sisters death was covered up by a rich family that coincidentally had ties with my uncle I had been dreaming of bringing the killer to his or her knees.

Nicole was only seventeen when she died. She was my innocent baby sister who was determined to make a difference in the world.

She wanted to be a doctor and save lives but hers was taken and covered up by corrupt people.

I remember begging my grandfather to help me investigate what really happened but because she wasn't his granddaughter he didn't care. He told me to move and as it was just an accident but I knew better.

Nicole was found with alcohol in her system but she never drank. She told me she found alchol unnecessary and disgusting and often told me to stop drinking.

The time of death was also messed up. They gave us the wrong time although it was obvious she had been dead for awhile.

The worst part is that Samantha never got in any trouble for what she did. If it were really a simple accident and she took accountability I would've found it easier to somehow forgive her.

Now it's too late. I have to destroy her and her family and leave them in ruin.

Eight months ago

I walk into the office of the man that covered up my sister's death in order to protect his daughter, the woman I just tricked into marrying.

I look around the office smiling when my eyes land on the family portrait. They were smiling widely looking like the perfect family.

"What a beautiful family you have here Stephan." I turn to the man that looked at me like I had just insulted him.

He bangs his fists on the desk hard. "What the hell do you really want with my daughter boy because if you think I believe that shit of you two being in love you are very wrong."

I was glad he was cutting to the chase. I was tired of pretending anyways.

"You know, I want Samantha and I to have a daughter." I began.

"What the hell are you playing at?!"

"I wonder if my daughter does something really bad...like perhaps kill someone, would I protect her as well as you protected your daugher."

He freezes. I can see nothing but fear in his eyes making me happy.

I take a step closer to the family portrait. "I will ruin this perfect little family of your just like you ruined mine."

I grab the portrait punching a hole into it before throwing it on the ground.

"You!" Stephan grabs me by the collar. "I won't let you hurt my family!"

"Your daugher murdered my sister!"

He punched me. "Leace my daughter alone!"

I laugh menacingly. "Do you think I will listen to you father-in-law?"

"What do you want Nick?!"

"I want you to accept our marriage and let her pay for her sins...otherwise I'll leave your entire family in ruins. I mean I already own your company, do you want to be homeless?"

Stephan was at a loss now. He couldn't do anything.

"Samantha will suffer and you won't interfere otherwise the rest of the family will be ruined too oh and if you try to do anything to me, I won't be this kind."

"My daughter made a mistake!" He cried out. "She wanted to go to jail but I told her no."

"Too bad."

"Nick if you want to punish anyone, punish me please! My daughter didn't do anything wrong!"

"Your daughter killed my sister! I think she is a murderer!"

Present day///

I left my office a few hours later than usual because I couldn't work thanks to everything occupying my mind.

The person I often thought about was Samantha. I just couldn't decide how I felt  about her. She was a killer, the person that took my sister's life yet, I couldn't see her that way.

Sometimes I hoped she'd tell me the truth. When she told me about her real relationship with Michael I hoped she'd tell me about the night she killed Nicole.

I didn't know why I so badly wanted to hear at leat her part of the story. Was she really okay with covering someone's death and living like nothing happened?

"Let go of me!"

Samantha's panicked voice brings me out of my thoughts. I freeze at the door wondering who she was talking to.

"I want us to talk." Michael says causing my blood to run cold.

"I don't have anything to say to you so leave me alone."

"Yes we do Samantha."

"I told you I have nothing to say to you so get lost!"

He yanks her by the arm. "Stop being stubborn and listen to me you foolish girl."

"What?!"

"Do you know why Nick married you?" Michael asked her. I wondered what he'd tell her and what her reaction would be so I dared not to interrupt.

She scoffs pulling away from him. "To save me from you!"

Michael laughs at her naive answer. "Don't be so stupid."

"I am done talking to you!"

"You killed his sister and he knows this too!"

Samantha gasps covering her mouth in horror. She takes a step away from him as she starts hyperventilating.

"Samantha listen to me, you are in danger here!" He warns sounding genuinely worried about her. So my uncle really does have feelings for her.

"N-no." She murmured as she began crying.  "...you're lying!"

"Samantha, I was there that night, I recognized her."

Michael was there? He knew it was my sister but still did nothing to help her get the justice she deserves?

I won't forgive either of them, they will both pay for this. I won't rest until she is behind bars for what happened to my sister and Michael needs to die.

"You have to calm down before you wake up everyone-"

Samantha suddenly faints. I run to her side. "What the fuck did you do to my wife?"

"Don't pretend like you care kento!"

Ignoring him I pick her up and place her on the couch. "Miss Sakura!" I call out.

"Kento she doesn't deserve to suffer...believe me, she has gone through enough."

"That's for me to decide uncle."

Soon the workers run into the livingroom.

"Yes young master?" Miss Sakura gasps seeing Samantha. "What happened to Miss Samantha?"

"She fainted. Call doctor Kenji."

"Yes sir."

I kneel beside my wife holding her soft hand. Samantha I hope you get what you deserve, even if lossing you will break my heart completely.
