Mortifae

Kurai Tachi is a normal student who just wants to study and do well. Lin Hayashi is his childhood friend and roommate who seems determined to spend the rest of her life playing games.

When Lin purchases headgear for a chance to enter the beta of the newest VR game 'Seradeihn', Kurai suddenly finds himself trapped in the game in an Avatar that he doesn't know how to use instead, but not for long.

Soon he finds that the game itself may hold a link to memories he'd long ago thought lost and the picture they paint proves to be a lot more sinister as they expose a plot that would shock the world as well as the other dimensions that soon become involved.

Seradeihn

Silence enveloped the room as the three of them each got caught up in their own thoughts, but Abyss and Aether were mostly waiting for Kurai's reaction to what he'd just learned.

His mind seemed to be on something different though because instead of freaking out, he started pacing the room and muttering to himself in a low enough voice that they couldn't really hear what he was saying until Abyss laid a hand on his shoulder, which caused him to jump slightly before his eyes widened in realization, "Oh, sorry. I think I may know how the chips were able to establish such a strong connection to this world."

Abyss frowned, "How do you think they managed it?"

Kurai ran a hand through his hair with a troubled expression, "Can you remember how the relic shattered? Did it just disintegrate or did it shatter into broken bits?"
