Mortifae

Kurai Tachi is a normal student who just wants to study and do well. Lin Hayashi is his childhood friend and roommate who seems determined to spend the rest of her life playing games.

When Lin purchases headgear for a chance to enter the beta of the newest VR game 'Seradeihn', Kurai suddenly finds himself trapped in the game in an Avatar that he doesn't know how to use instead, but not for long.

Soon he finds that the game itself may hold a link to memories he'd long ago thought lost and the picture they paint proves to be a lot more sinister as they expose a plot that would shock the world as well as the other dimensions that soon become involved.

Seradeihn

The first few fights were set up to thin the herd, so to speak, but it was obvious that many of the stronger fighters were hiding their true abilities by trying to finish their fights as soon as possible.

Even Kurai followed the example by merely using the back of his daggers to knock out his opponents and it wasn't long before the tournament drew in a huge crowd, not that Kurai blamed them since they probably never had a chance to simply watch a fight instead of having to fight for their lives.

Most of his fights ended up being quite easy, but three fights, in particular, proved to him that he shouldn't let his guard down when it came to fighting the NPCs or other players.

His first tricky opponent had been none other than the martial artist who had helped him translate the words of the guy who had been dressed like a samurai.
