A few days or so passes before Olivia hears the entrance door open and hears steps.
She unhugs herself and slowly moves around the corner to see Wanda coming down the steps with a tray in her hand, filled with food and tea on it.
She walks up to Olivia, extending the tray to her.
"You must be hungry and thirsty." She says, holding out the tray.
Olivia looks at the tray displayed in front of her before looking up at Wanda who has a cold expression on her face yet there is a hint of generosity there with the action she is conveying.
Olivia turns her head as her face begins to frown and anger starts to rile up in her body as she smacks the tray out of Wanda's hand and the food and drink fly everywhere as the tray falls to the ground with a thud.
Olivia then stands on her feet and looks at Wanda in the eyes with anger and frustration.
"I don't want your food and hospitality. LET ME OUT OF HERE!" Olivia yells, her voice still raspy from screaming days earlier.
Wanda continues to look at Olivia with a cold expression stuck to her face as she looks down at the mess created from Olivia's rejection. She looks back up, her face now filled with slight annoyance as she picks up the tray before speaking.
"Why do you want this book so badly?" Wanda asks, her voice calm and cool.
Olivia hesitates for a moment, unsure of how to answer. She was not expecting Wanda to get straight to the point.
On top of that she had never been asked such a question before, and she was taken back by Wanda's receptiveness.
She takes a deep breath and tells Wanda about her journey, her quest for power, and her insatiable hunger for more.
Wanda listens carefully to everything that Olivia had to say, and as she listened, she heard something that shook her to her core.
"If you ever obsessed and loved something so much, wouldn't you too do anything to get it?"
Wanda was taken back by that statement.
The look of shock reflects on her face as she takes a step back and looks down.
She immediately begins to reminisce about her husband Vision and her children Billy and Tommy. She remembers the pain of losing her husband not once, but twice to Thanos. In her pain, she created a reality to escape to where she had the perfect life and family as that too came crumbling down as well.
Tears begin to form in her eyes as she looks up at Olivia. She saw something in Olivia that she saw in herself all those years ago and that was the same hunger and thirst she had when she wanted to find and protect her family.
As Olivia looks into Wanda's eyes, she saw something that she did not expect, sympathy.
Wanda regains her composure almost immediately and goes back to her cold expression as she continues to look at Olivia.
"I see… I understand… Your ambition, drive, and passion for this. It has been a long time since I have meet someone who has ever… felt the same way I did in the past." She softly speaks as she summons the book with a swift gesture of her hand.
She holds the book in her hand as the book glows and swarms with ominous dark energy.
"This book aided me in my quest to find my children but…"
She pauses and exhales slightly before continuing to speak.
"I realized that I was damaging the fabric of reality by searching for my children and doing the very thing that was done to me by ripping them away from another universes' version of me."
Olivia eyes widen at such revelation.
"The multiverse!?… So, it truly does exist?" Olivia asks in a surprised voice.
Wanda nods, surprised too by Olivia's knowledge of it.
"Yes, it does. Not many humans know of its existence. But how do you know about it?"
"I read it from multiple books my father obtained. I assumed that it was just a myth or legend. But knowing now that it really does exist is… an unbelievable discovery."
Wanda slightly grins as she turns her attention back to the book.
"This book has the ability to bend and change the fabric of reality with the spells and works it contains. Many witches and wizards have gone to great lengths to try and find and obtain this book. Every single one of them failed. I have been the only one able to obtain it and harness its power."
She looks at Olivia before extending the book to her.
"Today that changes…"
Olivia has a surprised look on her face as she slowly takes the book into her hands, already feeling the immense power that is emitting from the book.
She looks up at Wanda still surprised that she is willingly giving the book to her.
"I…Why…You…"
Olivia struggles to form a sentence while holding the book in her hands, shaking her head in denial as to what is happening.
"Why are you willingly giving me the book? I was expecting some sort of fight put up for it?"
"I no longer need it. After my revelation of just how dangerous disrupting the multiverse can be. I vowed to only fix and bring changes that occur in the multiverse."
She looks at the book, slightly frowning before looking back at Olivia.
"Besides that book only reminds me of… bad memories."
Olivia shakes her head.
"I can't accept it out right like this."
"Why not?" Wanda questions with an annoyance tone in her voice
"It would not be fair. I wanted to have a proper battle for it. I have trained for years for this day to come, and I refuse to have it end like this."
Wanda tilts her head in slight confusion but then realizes her intentions.
"I see… you wish to fight and test your abilities against mine to see who would be best to keep the book."
Olivia nods.
"Yes, I do."
Wanda grins and takes a step closer to Olivia.
"Very well then. But you will not beat me at your current state."
"What!?" Olivia hisses.
"You are powerful indeed and much stronger than most witches and wizards I know but you will not last against me."
Olivia's shoulders slump from Wanda's harsh yet true words. She then perks back up with an idea.
"Then let me have the book for a few years. In that time, I will use it to get stronger. Once I do, I will come back and give you a proper match, a battle worthy to fight."
Wanda is taken back by such a request.
"Do you realize what you are asking? No one else has been able to harness the powers of that book other than me."
Olivia nods, understanding the obstacle standing before her.
"I do. But I have confidence that I will be able to figure it out."
Wanda shakes her head slightly.
"Are you sure?" She asks with a hint of concern in her voice.
Olivia nods confidently.
"I am."
Wanda sees the will and determination from Olivia.
Thinking about her capabilities of being able to reach her home let alone get inside of it and get close to the book was a feat of its own.
She nods.
"Very well. You can have the book for now. But I expect a return from you on your promise."
Olivia's face lights up as she nods.
"I assure you I will keep my word and return to you."
Wanda's cold composure slightly falls as she looks at her with a smile on her face and leads Olivia out of her underground lair and to the front door of her house.
"I will see you soon." Wanda says as Olivia steps out of the front door.
Olivia turns to face her as she waves bye to her.
"I will see you soon." Olivia repeats before teleporting back to her home with now in her possession the most powerful book known to man.
This book will most defiantly grant the ultimate power and knowledge Olivia has been striving for years.
She grins with amusement as she sets the book on her enchantment table in her lab.
She looks at it closely, tracing her fingers over the midnight black leather, each glided page carved with intricate glyphs into it.
Now, the difficult task stands before her to crack the book and harness its power.
