The sound of the sole of his shoe against the floor resonated across the large hall as he took steady steps toward the front, where a stand was already set up for him to climb up to.
Beside the stand he approached was another one, similar to the one meant for him. There, Elfin stood, looking forward at the people on the high table, specifically, the one in charge of that particular case.
He looked disturbed, knowing there would be sure consequences should Storm not show up. Much as he wanted to set the guy back on the right path, he didn't want him to get severely punished because that would slow down their work. However, he wouldn't mind the severe punishment should Storm prove to be stubborn and insist on towing the dangerous path he was eyeing already.
His expression became peaceful and relieved when he heard the sounds of footsteps, knowing the guy had arrived.
