Outside the palace, at the foot of the hill, Amanda paced about, unable to stand still. Her face was twisted into a frown, while her chest rose up and down rapidly due to how much fury she had to hold in.
She had done her best to keep a composed front inside the palace, but that facade broke the moment she stepped out. All she wanted to do at that time was to scream out her frustrations and lash out at someone. And that was exactly what she did when she noticed Elfin's presence.
Her steps came to a halt and she turned around, knowing he was standing behind her. "What was the meaning of what you did in there? Was that what we agreed on?" Amanda yelled at the top of her voice, shooting a death glare at Elfin, who unlike her, maintained a calm demeanor.
"You should calm yourself down," Elfin uttered, his tone just as unbothered as his expression.
