CHAPTER 5

On the weekend, I was fully charged and ready to get drained. As usual, I came to the office, and as I entered, I noticed changes. Everything around me was blooming, and our department was decorated, ready to welcome someone. Now what I missed.

Boys were looking so dashing by wearing tuxedos, which they wore every day, but today they were looking more handsome than usual, and all females were looking beautiful and pleasing to any eye. I am gay and may get hardened by seeing them. I was not getting the reason for these changes. Did I miss something by not attending the party? Curiosity caught me, so I checked my emails to find the reason for this sudden change in environment. Okay, here is the reason the new CEO will be reporting today: he is none other than our former CEO, Mr. Benjamin Mathew, and his son, Mr. Scott Mathew.

Frankly speaking, I didn't gather any information about our former CEO other than his age and a few achievements. Just to get some basic information, I googled our new CEO. When I saw his picture, I was quite taken aback. I was staring at his picture and was not able to take my eyes off of it because of his look. He was a mixture of handsomeness, gorgeousness, hotness, and sexiness as hell, and yeah, of course, everyone wants to get his attention, especially girls, who, on the right mind, are going to miss this opportunity. They are missing something. We were mere employees working under him why the hell he would come in contact with us, and would he give a dam to any of us if we look at his dating history, he had only dated top models and actresses like only top-level, obviously, he was billionaire will date according to his status don't they got at least common sense and his educational background was immensely extraordinary he was one of the top students completed his masters in Harvard University, worked in a different reputable company in top-level designation, after gaining experience now he was taking over his father company, conclusion part they don't get not even cent percent a chuckle escaped from my mouth, by wishing them good luck, I got back to work.

In the group chat, it has been updated to say that the CEO will personally greet every employee from each department when no one knows. So he was only reporting today; getting his glimpse was also highly impossible.

For a week, the manager was busy meeting with other managers and the newly appointed CEO, so he didn't get much time to bother me. For the past week, every day was like a fair day, with both males and females dressed at their best in competition. I guess still a personal visit of the CEO, the situation will be this: in no time it was already the weekend, and we received information regarding the CEO visit that had been scheduled for Monday.

It was Monday around 9.30 a.m. The CEO came to our department, and Simon received him and took him into his cabin. We received a glimpse while he was passing, and yeah, we were getting vibes from him being in authority. He looks more handsome in real life than in his pictures on Google.

After like an hour, the CEO came out, followed by Simon. To greet everyone, the manager introduced each staff member individually with their name, designation, and job role, and in no time, it was my turn; they both approached my desk. Simon, in his hostile voice, introduced me, bothering to take only my name and designation, which he purposefully forgot to mention about my job role. I didn't dwell; immediately, I took my hand forward to greet him. There was a disdainful expression on his face. He kept his hands in his pockets and didn't bother to acknowledge my greeting, which was quite insulting in front of the whole department. He moved to greet the next employee. What the hell was that? A knowing smile escaped from Simon, which he tried to hide in vain.

This bastard, what nuisance had he already filled to the new CEO, and what the hell with this new guy? This was our first meeting. Can't he be polite for sake? Was this reaction really necessary? Such a prick. Why the hell is everyone picking on me? On the brighter side, why should I care so much? I won't come to his contact. In any case, I will be answerable to only Simon. I have already gotten used to it. Once the introduction was done, Scott left the department with the manager.

Rachel approached me with a satisfied smile and spoke, "There is something you need to know: our manager is one of the closest friends of our handsome and dashing CEO; two of them were high school buddies who completed their masters at Harvard together. I will enjoy my coming days for sure. My advice, which I will not bother to give, especially to you, is to start searching for a new job. You know getting fired is better than quitting.".
