Rising Doubts

ARWAN

As I drive with Emery, my mind can't help but return to that unforgettable night we spent at the hotel. Part of me wants to dwell on it, savour every moment and try to decipher its meaning, but the other part resists, pushing the memories deep into my head so I don't have to face them.

I don't understand why I still catch myself thinking about it, to be honest. It was just a simple night—so different from anything I've experienced before, but still just a simple night.

I try to convince myself that, soon enough, I'll be able to stop dwelling on it completely.
