Our Father

Fabian headed to a tavern outside of Grossfeld. He had left a message to Elijah to meet him there, but he had not received any response from him. He could only hope now that Elijah would come despite his silence.

He entered the tavern, ordered a drink, and waited for his half-brother to arrive. Although he never specified the time of his arrival at the tavern, he did mention that he would wait for him until he came.

And so, he did.

It was past midnight when Elijah showed up. The man with a large birthmark on his face dragged the chair across from Fabian and sat on it.

"I thought you wouldn't come," Fabian remarked.

Elijah scoffed. His hatred toward Fabian was evident all over his face, and he didn't even try to hide it. "Yeah, I almost didn't come. But I'm afraid you would miss me if I pass up this opportunity."
