Thea’s Future

Yohana lied about having employed Thea before. She also added that Thea was sweet and pure and had excellent hands for fabrics. Mrs. Lo supported the statement and even went as far as expressing her interest in mentoring her to be a seamstress herself.

"Oh, Mrs. Lo, what a wonderful idea! I'm certain that Thea would accept the offer if you sent her a letter regarding that. With Lady Runa's departure from the palace, I'm worried about her," Yohana said.

"Yes, it seems that Lady Runa's absence greatly affected her," Mrs. Lo shared her opinion.

She further testified that she had seen Thea passing by her store once. She had called for Thea several times, but Thea seemed in a daze, not hearing Mrs. Lo's call.

Before Yohana left the store with her new dress, she reminded Mrs. Lo to send the letter to invite Thea to be her apprentice. Yohana imagined how bright Thea's face would be when she read the letter.
