The First Letter

During his thorough investigations, Count Yannik had developed suspicions against one of the royal family members, who betrayed the whole family and the generation. At the time, he did not dare mention the name or speak his thoughts.

He hoped that he was wrong. How could someone betray their own family? Only the most barbaric and heartless person was capable of doing that, and Count Yannik refused to believe that such a person existed in the family that had governed Reichwein for centuries.

It was partly due to Count Yannik's denial that the investigations were progressing rather slowly. Every time the clue pointed to the former prince, Count Yannik would shift the point of investigation.

Now, he couldn't avoid the truth anymore. He had to face reality.

This letter signified the first time a representative from Kievskaya, Duke Ivan Leodonova contacted the former prince Ansgar. Duke Ivan was one of the top officials in the Kievskaya Empire.
