Princess Assassin

The murder of Castellan Stanislaus brought a complicated feeling into Yohana's heart. She wondered if Kievskaya would make a move to kill Ansgar as well. But if he died like that, wouldn't it be his win at last? Henrie told her that he intended to keep him alive as long as possible to make sure he suffered.

Yohana couldn't completely agree with his decision, but she also wondered if an execution would be enough for him to repent his sins. Was he afraid of death?

Rather than have him killed by Kievskaya, wouldn't it be better to publicly execute him in the town square? At least, he could feel the humiliation and the jeers of the people of Reichwein. He would know what his parents felt when he sold them to the enemy.
