chapter 4

It was like the whole town was screaming in agony as wild flames consumed houses with people inside , Belle turned to her side to find a half snake ,half human with a sword stuck in her belly.

The woman groaned in pain two young girls squat beside her in tears , The woman raised her sword and gave it to one of the girls . when she was done saying something which Belle didn't hear the girls ran as fast as they could into the woods .

She walked closer to the woman but found out that she was already dead just then, ring!!!!!! ring!!! .

Belle jerked up , she turned to look round before she sighed , ' it was just a dream ' she told herself but it looked real.

it was a month now since she had been the lord of slayers personal maid , she was curious to know more about this man who spoke little and sometimes says nothing at all .

She also noticed that the king respected him so much and that made her scared of him , fear always took over when she served him .

Like the other day he always comes back with deep injuries which she would have to tend to everyday and it seems like the injuries never healed .

When she was done changing into her maid dress , she went to his chamber to find him playing with his daggers in-between his finger causing blood to come out .

He stopped and looked up when she greeted him . like always he nodded before she picked up the the brush to brush his hair .

When she was done he dismissed her wore his armor and left the room. she secretly followed him .

he stopped at the training field where soldiers stood in circles and their was a tall huge man standing in the circle.

A fight started and the huge man carelessly used the sword and it cut into Richards flesh , it immediately started bleeding.

He fell to his knees and turned as of he knew Belle was their , she hid behind the walls. she stood there for awhile trying to calm her racing heart.

Before she could turn back to watch the huge man was already on the ground in the pool of his blood .

the other soldiers walked away leaving only Richard as he fell to his knees ,of course he knew that she was here watching him .

He stood up slowly walking away and she followed him . He went through the the dark tunnel at the back of the palace and she followed slowly.

When he was outside the palace he continued walking deeply into the woods. she was determined to know the source of his power but tripped , if he hadn't caught her before she could hit the ground,she would have been blind.

Belle gasped when she felt a strong hand preventing her from falling , " be careful while stalking me " he said in his usual calm but threatening voice .

she took a step backward and adjusted her hair looking at her toe before she turned to leave.

" are you leaving ? " she stopped when he asked , she felt fear fill in the space boldness just left .

" yes " she turned to face him but didn't raise her head .

" why don't you complete your journey or mission" he walked closer .

" wha.. what mission?" she stammered.

" knowing the source of my " he said , his grey long hair was blown by the wind exposing his not to musclin but handsome face and cold looking eyes that could send shivers down one spine without him speaking.

" I .. I.. I ..." she tried to defend herself but couldn't find the right word .

" no need , now that you are here you have no choice but to come with me" with those words he started walking away while she contemplated on following him or not , she decided to and slowly followed . Despite the blood and injuries he looked like someone who wasn't feeling pain at all .

They went further and he stopped were there was an ocean, staring into the water made her smile but when an half human and half snake emerged from the water she frown.

" she's the one " the male water snake stared at with a eyes that made her feel uneasy.

" I know " Richard said without staring at her as he sat on a rock .

" you do and you still let her live , she will cause you death " he said angrily with pure hatred towards Belle .

" well , killing her is also killing half of me , so I'll let her live which will still bring me death but I rather die than being used to gain more power " she swallowed her saliva painfully and adjusted backward as if that will prevent the water snake from staring at her the way he did .

she stared into the water wondering how many water snakes where under that ocean, she would also love to see their females.
