" maybe you should go to the market,you and your sister" the woman who they lived with said while they sat outside the house .
" can we ? " Lilith asked while her sister pinched her .
" yes you, you have spent so much time at home . just a little walk to the market get a few things then come back" Lilith agreed , " I will go get the list and money " she walked in to the house and came back shortly with the money and list .
" I will go with them" . her son walked out of the house well dressed.
" ok " and they left to the market , they had gotten a few items when they realized the money won't be enough after the person selling calculated everything they had on their list to buy .
Lilith who thought they were being cheated started arguing with the stall owner who tried recalculating the items to make her understand.
the woman son had left them to greet an old friend of his who was a blacksmith in the market .
Then they heard a voice , " any problem " it was the king ,he had come to the market for his usual visit.
" your majesty " the stall owner bowed while Lilith and Lucina turned to stare at the king .
He nodded and asked again if there was any problem , that's was when the stall owner started explaining everything with excitement.
" is that all '' he nodded to one of the men beside him and he dismounted his horse then paid , " the rest should be used by the ladies to get any other thing that the would need ".
" Thanks your majesty " they both bowed .
" thanks you majesty" the stall owner also thanked him.
" you are welcome, may I know your names " he said to Lilith and Lucina .
'' my name is Lilith and has is Lucina'' She pointed at her sister then he nodded.
" can we go home now ? " the woman son asked but stopped when he saw the king .
" your majesty " he bowed .
" Damon how are you " he's asked .
" fine your majesty" he smiled.
" are this your sisters ?" he asked again and Damon didn't answer fast this time but looked at the girls contemplating on what to answer before he said.
" yes they are"
" could you move closer " Damon walked closer and the king whispered into his ear and he nodded.
'' I will tell mother " he said and the king watched them leave .
" the king doesn't look bad at all " Lilith told her sister while they were in their room after dinner .
" what where you expecting ? "
" a pot bellied ugly stout king with beards looking like his ancestors added their to the one he has " she used her hand to support her head .
" holy mother of snakes! " she exclaimed , " and you would have got married to such " .
" ugh , i would have managed but am grateful that he isn't what I imagined" she sighed.
" what about Lucas ? " a thick blanket of silence fell over the room immediately Lucina asked .
" I don't know , I will talk to him am sure he will understand "
" the king asked that we join him for dinner tomorrow evening at the palace. you already got his attention" Lucina changed the topic .
" no , we got his attention" Lilith smiled." I told you it will be easy like turning the back of my hand and it was "
" hmmm, this place changed" Lucina stared at nothing in particular.
" yes. I remember those days when we will sneak out of the palace to the market "
" then you find the female snakes and dragons covered with veils accompanied by a male servant or husband to the market"
" but now even snakes will walk round without veils so as to not be killed by the humans "
" life is cruel to us it's against us and not in our favor anymore and we hope to get back what we lost ".
" it wouldn't be that easy as you think " Lilith laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling with so many thoughts.
" if it was easy for you to find a way into the king's heart then it should be easy for you to get back grandma's throne " her sister encouraged.
" it won't be easy cause you are not with me in this fight "
" who told you that,then I wouldn't have left their to come here with you even when you sounded stupid to me " she laughed and Lilith joined
