WAR

The last thing Medusa wanted to do was go to war,it had no gain especially fighting with a kingdom that has powerful warriors.

Their king wasn't a human and he had ten sons from ten different wives , most of his wives were from other powerful kingdoms.

" Father " they both bowed .

"you may rise , you should know why I sent for you " he said sitting as if he was glued to the throne .

" yes we do " Amber said quietly.

" what do you think? " he turned to Ciara.

" I don't want to go to war " she stated and the king frowned.

" why don't you want to ? " he asked and adjusted on the throne.

" father think of it , this kingdom can gather so much allies that we can never defeat , you only have two daughters who are not humans .I hope you remember that your sons are not interested in laying down their life for their kingdom but are ready to have a throne they don't deserve " she took a step forward.

" he has ten sons who are would do anything for their kingdom and the people in it, before we would be able to rescue a soldier if we go to war , he would be dead . cause you know ,I know ,yes we know that this ten sons of his none of them are humans " Amber nodded.

"but you are stronger" he stood up .

" no matter how strong we are we won't be able to win this war , do you want to make women widows or make their children fatherless cause none of your soldiers can stand against his sons . father we will be leaving here first thing tomorrow morning to seek peace " she concluded.

" father , she's right we will go to seek peace, that's all " Amber said and he was quiet .

" ok " he reluctantly said and lowered himself to the throne ." you may leave " he looked defeated.

" Medusa who I knew loved the sound of war , she leaped on her feet with Soo much joy when the trumpet of war is being sounded " Lilith said to Ciara.

'' remember you said she hated war " Amber pointed out.

" of course ,but at same time she loved war ".

" mother , you won't like it when you see soldiers who just cared for their kingdom being dragged in dead . would you ? "

" women and children also In tears mourning their husbands and fathers " Amber added .

" look ,we don't care how many people losses their life just for you to be on that throne and the only way to be there is to impress your father . Let his command be your wish just doing whatever he asks you to do without adding your own opinion , i mean just saying yes to his will "

" why are you this selfish mother , no matter what happens the throne remains mine and will always be mine , father has no thought of giving it to someone else except me and the only way to be able to get the throne is to make decisions that will help this kingdom from destruction not by being selfish "

" oh ,now am being selfish" she smirked." remember I won't be the one ascending the throne "

" but still you're selfish, cause I'm your daughter and being on that throne will also benefits you ".

" if you had only knew what I sacrificed and what I have been through so you would be on that throne without any stress ,you will listen to me and do whatever I say because it is for your own good ".

" I won't do everything you say because you are not a god over me " Ciara raised her voice.

" oh ,you don't dare raise your voice on me ,you ingrate! " she shouted at her angrily.

" stop this " Luciana raised her voice to be heard as both mother and daughter stared at themselves in uncontrollable rage .

" no ,you tell her to stop" Lilith turned to Luciana .

" why don't we look into this calmly " Amber said calmly.

" only if Medusa is ready to listen " Lilith said.

Ciara walked out of her mother's chamber angrily slamming the door behind her .

" you shouldn't have called her an ingrate " Luciana told her sister slowly resting her hand on her shoulder.

" I know " she sighed.

" she knows what to do so let her do it , she's not a child ".

" I'm only trying to do what a mother would do "

" be calm , be calm "

" I am if not I would have torn this whole place down " she took a deep breath in to relax .
