CHAPTER 29

Imagine this person you got married to, no , sure it's not for love but for freedom suddenly becomes your nightmare every night.

Medusa finally got married to Damien and she had to leave her kingdom for a week, Ciara wasn't really happy about this marriage but she was doing this to save her people's life .

Damien on the other hand was very happy cause finally he had the freedom he had been looking for , he wouldn't be sitting on that throne. no , he won't be a king but a physician and all he felt was joy .

He had decided to give up the throne for this marriage and made his father believe that the reason he was married to this woman was because he loves her . within him he knew that he was only trying to escape sitting on that throne his father believed was rightly his.

After a long silence Ciara spoke ," what if your father founds out the truth " she wasn't staring at him but he knew she was talking to him and knew what she was talking about.

" he won't change it , it's been done ''

" why would you give up the throne "

" not everyone wants to command and be subjected to " with that he turned to look outside.

Amber had not expected him to come even if she had invited him . she told herself that he wouldn't be coming but her eyes kept scanning the places for him.

Het heart skipped a beat when Damien walked but he wasn't with him , she bit her lower lips .

wait ! what wrong with her , why was she acting like someone who was love sick , it's like it's time to talk sense into herself if she had lost the one she had .

After the vows where made the party began , she watched people dance and wished she was there dancing with him.

Her grip tightened round the drink she held , " feeling lonely " the voice made her shivered . she didn't have to turn to see who it was .

He had been thinking of her , couldn't get her out of his mind . He never wanted to go to the wedding but he just wanted to see her face again,hear her voice again and feel her hands if possible.

He had to pick the clothe he would be wearing to the wedding cause they left the palace a day before the wedding and it was his first time deciding what to wear by himself. the maids had been doing that sice he was a child , he would go back every minute to check if he looks good even when Curtis had said he looked good .

What if he messes everything up when he gets there, his greed for power takes over when he sees Medusa. He sat on a chair with that thought.

Most times he couldn't control himself, but Amber invited him. He knew that he never promised her that he will be coming but it won't hurt to see her again.He couldn't travel all the way from his kingdom down here and miss seeing her again

When they got to the palace , he started thinking again; what if the invitation wasn't a way of seeing him again like he had thought'

' what if she had only invited him because she wanted to do '

" any problem? " Damien asked noticing his restlessness.

" I'm fine " he responded.

" okay if you say so " He moved forward leaving him behind.

The first person he saw was her , she was looking more beautiful than ever . the make up wasn't needed too much .

When the wedding vows where made , he watched her from the other side as she stood quietly with a drink, she was staring at the people dancing with a distant look .

many men had tried getting her attention even getting her to dance with them , she only told them no with a polite smile .her eyes was there but her heart wasn't so he made his wash to her .

" feeling lonely" he whispered into her ear.

" oh , never thought you will come " she turned after awhile as if she had been gathering the courage to talk to him or even face him.

" but I'm here " he smiled.

" you should smile more often" she giggled.

" and you should laugh more often" they were both quiet for awhile , " would you like to dance " he offered his hands and she took it.

Some of the men who had asked to dance with her stared at him with envy, while some hatred .

The night ended well for both but for Ciara she felt like screaming " STOP THE WEDDING I DON'T WANT TO GET MARRIED !!!!! " but she couldn't.
