Warrior Level

"Master, is there something wrong?"

Xiao Chen asked with an innocent face even though he knew why Fang An looked confused at him.

A few hours ago after returning from his mission, the first thing Fang An did upon arriving at Bamboo Sword Villa was check Xiao Chen's progress.

Over the past year, according to Fang An's observations, Xiao Chen had really enjoyed studying. Xiao Chen even chose not to associate with children his age and spent most of his time in the study room so Fang An was worried that Xiao Chen actually had no interest in martial arts.

Fang An had indeed asked Xiao Chen to start training physically recently to prepare Xiao Chen to learn martial arts at the age of 8. Fang An had thought that when he went out on missions, Xiao Chen would rather spend his time reading books than training his physique.

In fact not only did Xiao Chen's physical strength improve greatly but the quality of his bones also increased at a rate Fang An couldn't fathom.

"Does Chen'er really have high talent as a warrior only that he needs more practice to unleash his potential?" thought Fang An.

If you look at the quality of Xiao Chen's bones now, there is no reason for Fang An to delay Xiao Chen's martial arts training until he is 8 years old. With his position as Sword Elder, Fang An could apply for Xiao Chen to practice before the age of 8 despite being a disciple who came from outside the sect.

Fang An only had one disciple and had made great contributions to the Valley of the Hundred Swords over the past few years so this shouldn't be a difficult request considering that Fang An had never asked for anything like this before.

"Chen'er, if you train hard there seems to be a possibility of you becoming an expert level warrior before turning 30." Fang An finally spoke after a long silence.

"Expert level Warrior?" Xiao Chen actually understood Fang An's meaning but he still had to ask because he shouldn't have known this information.

Fang An nodded slowly before starting to explain that in the martial world, warriors were divided into classes based on their abilities.

A person can be considered as a warrior if he masters one type of martial arts and has the strength capable of defeating five healthy adult men. Such a warrior is called a third-class Warrior.

When a warrior masters the art of lightening the body which allows him to jump as high as five meters and has the ability to face three to five third-class warriors, he will be called a second-class warrior.

If one mastered several martial arts, had high lightness skills and possessed inner strength of ten circles then he could be called a first class Warrior.

The dozen or so people who had tried to attack Lin Fan at the inn were all third and second grade warriors combined.

Expert level warrior were the next class from level one warriors. There were many conditions that made one said to be an expert level warrior, but one main condition was that one had to be within the 60 circles of at least to become an expert warrior.

One out of a hundred skilled warriors in the martial world would be known as a Titled Warrior, that meant they were skilled warriors who were recognized for their abilities in the martial world. Fang An, for example, was one of the Titled Warriors because he was known as the Jade Faced Swordsman.

In a large sect like the Valley of the Hundred Swords that had around ten thousand warriors within it even less than five hundred people reached the level of a Master Warrior but quite a number among these Master Warriors became Titled Warriors.

Xiao Chen knew that Fang An was born with extraordinary martial talent because Fang An was born with a Young Tiger Bone quality physique. Coupled with the various resources his family had, Fang An managed to become a master warrior at the age of 16 despite his internal injuries and finally became a Sword Elder at the age of 17.

Talent like Fang An was actually rare even in big sects, it was just that his talent was hidden and escaped the attention of an important figure like Jiang Kun because of Fang An's character who preferred to be modest and hide his abilities.

"Master, I prefer to study for now. It won't be too late if I study martial arts in a few more years…"

Xiao Chen didn't want to rush into learning martial arts after all he was still re-practicing some of the martial arts he had learned in his previous life. For Xiao Chen the most important thing right now was improving the quality of his bones so he could practice the Heavenly Dragon God's Scripture to the fullest.

Fang An actually caught something different from Xiao Chen's answer, when he wanted to try to persuade Xiao Chen to start practicing, a sect member came to Bamboo Sword Villa.

"Elder Fang, Sect Master requests that all of the Sword Elders gather in the main hall right away." Said the sect member in a hurry, finished saying so he immediately said goodbye because he had to inform the other elders.

Fang An could tell something serious was going on, "Chen'er, we will continue this conversation later when I get back."

After saying that Fang An left for the main hall while Xiao Chen stayed behind in the Bamboo Sword Villa.

Xiao Chen's expression changed slightly after Fang An left Bamboo Sword Villa, he went to the secret room to open his notebook.

"I see, it's no wonder I didn't meet Sect Leader Jiang during the recent Water Ginseng harvest…" Xiao Chen frowned.

According to his records, it should have been around this time that a major event had occurred, namely a struggle for the throne between the princes. This political war that occurs every few tens of years always involves the inhabitants of the martial world.

Xiao Chen didn't really remember the details of everything that happened because when it all happened in his previous life, he didn't really understand much about the world. Xiao Chen only remembered Fang An going to the Capital for quite a long time, leaving Xiao Chen in the Young Sword Pavilion to study under Yue Lian.

Fang An only returned to Bamboo Sword Villa in the middle of the night, he thought Xiao Chen was already asleep so did not call him to continue their conversation. Coughing sounds were heard from time to time, Xiao Chen knew that Fang An did not sleep that night because he was thinking about many things.
