Sister Dearest

Cleo had followed him to Derrick's dismay. He had watched her twin sister shrink even further behind those bloody walls. With Cleo's words burning into him in comparison to his brother, he hated to be compared to anyone in his House. He wasn't like Reginald at all. If Persephone had been his betrothed, he wouldn't have treated her the way Reginald had.

Sweet mercy, he had his mistresses and paramors, but he *wasn't* like *him*. The problem with Reginald was that he cared too much of political power. He also wanted the entire bloody cake not just a piece of it. It was a piece of cake to secure Persephone after what had happened between her and Caleb orchestrated by Reginald himself. He also wanted to keep his true mate, Sylvie, along for the ride even though he was to be mated to Persephone.

He was selfish... he wanted everything.
