Mister Arrogant

"I want that house," I said looking through the window.

"Sir, which house is it that you want?" The agent stammered in fear.

"I want that house over there I said pointing out through the window."

"No, no, no sir. Please don't take that house. I mean, there are lots of houses you can easily get and invest in, but this one? It's not going to be profitable for you. It's just going to be a waste of money and time, just no investment." The agent said jumping in excitement like a baby.

"Am not asking for your opinion. I want that house and I must get it. I just wanted to let you know that this house already belongs to me, just say the amount you want and my manager will sort you out."

"Hmm... Hmm.. I don't want the house too but I'll give you the house for five hundred thousand pound."

"Hmm."

My manager cleared his throat.

"If that's the amount you want then you can give me your account number and we will transfer the amount to you after we finish the formalities. You can leave now." My manager said gathering the files in his hand properly.

The agent left and I could hear my manager scoff.

"I wonder why you have taken so much interest in the house even when you are well aware that you can't invest in it. No one wants to buy a haunted house, but you are willing to give your everything to get that one house. Listen, Alex, you need to relax and rethink what you are about to do."

"Biggie, have made my decision and it's final. I want that house by all means."

"I am not telling you this as your manager but as your childhood friend. I know you love to bring the best out of the worst things but this? I don't think it can bring any profit to you."

"Clear the formalities 'cause I can't wait to see my new house," I said and walked out.

"Where the hell are you going to now?" Biggie asked.

"Am going to the Hampton family house."

"But the paparazzi are outside waiting for you. There are so many of them you can't simply go because you are bored, just hold on till the paparazzi are gone."

"I am the one they are waiting for so why should I hide from them when I haven't committed any offence?"

"It's fine. It's not like you would listen to me, do as you wish."

I walked out of my hotel room and decided to use the closest lift. I could feel all eyes on me.

"He didn't even seem pleased to see us drooling and complimenting him." One of the girls said.

My lips curved up as I made my way inside the lift.

.................................

Mister Alex..... Mister Alex please your autograph... Please, please I just want your autograph. One of my fans cried out.

On the other side, I could see my guards trying to stop the paparazzi from reaching out to me till I eventually entered my car.

"Take me to the Hampton's house," I told the driver.

"Sir, your manager is not with you." My driver said.

"He will come in the other car."

...................................

Ring... Ring.

I rang the doorbell and the door opened almost immediately.

"Oh! Mister Alex, I never knew you were coming home for the weekend. I would have packed some clothes for the weekend as well." Mira said seductively.

"I don't need a b***h hovering all over me. Since you have only come to see Mom, you can see her and leave before dusk. A guest shouldn't overstay their welcome." I said and pushed her aside and walked only three steps only to find my mom obstructing my way and staring at me.

"What's wrong Mom? Don't you want me in your home?"

"You shouldn't be asking me that Alex, rather I should be asking you why you don't want Mira in our home. Mira is your fiancée and it's high time you start giving her the respect she deserves cause if you disrespect her then you are equally disrespecting me." My mom said and looked at the entrance. Biggie, why aren't you advising your friend here? He keeps getting worst every day. The more arrogant he becomes, the more rude he is. He just spoke to his fiancee in a very rude way.

"Mrs Hampton I keep advising him every day but he doesn't listen to me. You are complaining about the way he spoke to Mira right? But if you hear what he did today then you will give him a tight slap."

My mom's expression changed as she looked at me in wonder. "What has he done again?"

"He wants to buy that haunted house. The house nobody wants. The house opposite his hotel, as if that was not enough, he said he wants the house before tomorrow and we should announce to the world that he has bought that haunted house."

"What!" Mrs. Hampton exclaimed. Do you want to buy that house? Why? What are you even thinking? No one would want to invest in that house but you are willing to invest all you have in it.

"That's exactly what I told him to Mrs. Hampton," Biggie said nodding his head in agreement.

"Alex please don't invest into that house. No one would want anything to do with that house, even I won't invest in that house you should strategize your plans to avoid mistakes or regrets.." Mira said holding my hand.

"It's not your money and your sweat. It's all mine. And who the hell asked you to interfere in this situation? You are only a guest here so stay a guest and don't start acting like family."

"What!" Mira exclaimed making her leave my hand. I smiled to myself and walked away from their shenanigans.

"Are you walking out on me now Alex?" Mrs. Hampton said making Alex stop.
