I promise to look for your mom

"Ok, you can come along if you want," I said to Nana who instantly came out of the car. Alex sighed. "I wonder when I'll be done with this phrase?" I need to look for her mom and get her out of my life.

"Alex am waiting." I heard Mira's voice.

"Coming baby." Alex got out of the car and held Mira's hand, while Nana ran to the restaurant.

"Here! I want us to seat here." Nana pointed at a seat close to a wide glass window.

"I think we should sit there," I said to Mira. Indeed Nana has a good choice. I liked her choice.

"Wow! Alex. You are amazing." Mira said. I smiled back to Nana who was smiling widely at me. Shortly after, a waiter came to us with a menu.

7 PM

"Biggie, have been waiting for you. Why did you take so long? You made me worried." Now tell me what the guess is all about. Mrs Hampton said tapping Biggie on the shoulder.

"Well... Alex..." Biggie paused when he saw Alex walk in.

"Here is our latest boyfriend," Biggie said.

"What do you mean?" Mrs Hampton asked.

"Well, Mom... Alex went on a date with Mira today... And it's all because of me if not, he wouldn't have had the guts to ask her out on a date" Biggie said happily.

"What!! Is that the truth?" Mrs. Hampton said smiling at Alex.

"No that's not the truth. I mean partly true and partly false."

"I only took her there because we were both going to the same restaurant. And yes, she is now my girlfriend but not my fiancée." Alex said.

"Oh, Alex! Forget about that for now and focus on growing your relationship with Mira OK." Mrs. Hampton advised her son.

"Ok Mom," I said and made my way to my room.

"Won't you have breakfast?" Mrs Hampton asked.

"No Mom. He can't give any more food. He is full, remember he went on a date with Mira to Hèlènè Darroza."

"Oh! So he went to Hèlènè Darroza, his favorite restaurant with his fiancée." Mrs Hampton asked.

"Yes Mom, and now what do you give me in return for my work."

"What do you want?" Mrs Hampton asked.

"I want a holiday to Paris."

"Oh! Go. Go to Paris if you want. What do you want me to do about it."

"You will have to process it for me. I don't want any stress."

"St***d boy, so you want me to do the stress."

"Not entirely Mom. You know you are the wife of Mr Hampton. No one would refuse you or stress you."

"No, I won't do it. Process it yourself with your money."

"Mom if you don't do it for me then I'll never advise Alex and I'll leave him whenever he does anything crazy."

"Oh ok! I'll process it for you." Mrs. Hampton gave in to his request.

"Now that's how you stay a millionaire," Biggie said and also made his way to the room.

"Won't you eat?" Mrs Hampton asked.

"No Mom. Am not hungry and I am going to Paris next tomorrow. ". Biggie said.

"All of you in this house want to turn my brains upside down and wreck me too."

ALEX'S ROOM

Alex sat on the bed with his laptop on his lap.

"What are you doing now," Nana asked trying to take a look.

"Am trying to look for any details concerning your mom." Do you know anything about her online? I mean do you know her name on, Twitter, Instagram, or even her number for her WhatsApp?

Nana sat on the bed thinking for a while before she finally spoke. "Yes... I do know her number for Hap." Nana said.

"It's not called Hataaap but WhatsApp." Alex corrected her.

"Whats... App." I got it now, right?

"Yes. Now call the number."

Nana called out the number to Alex and he typed it out on his phone.

"I'll call her now," Alex said dialing the number.

"What's wrong." Nana asked worried.

"Are you sure you called the correct number?" I asked Nana.

"Yes am a hundred percent sure it's the right number."

"The number does not exist," I said to her.

"What! How is that possible?" Nana asked.

"Hold on! I'll try adding her on WhatsApp." I added the number to my WhatsApp but got the same response. "NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST."

"Hmm... You know what? Do you have any other information about your mom? Like her Name, date of birth, or anything."

"I don't know any other thing."

"Wait! She says something like Face...book."

"Does that name exist?" Nana asked Alex.

"Yes... Yes, it does. Facebook exists. Do you know her name on Facebook? We can get her number from there."

"Yes, I know her name. Her name is Amber Sebastian Coke."

"Oh ok!." I typed that name in Facebook and a lot of Amber Sebastian Coke popped up.

"Nana come over here and show me which account belongs to your mom."

I gave the phone to Baba and she kept scrolling up and down.

"Did you find her account?" I asked her after seeing her reaction.

"Those are not my mom's picture or anything about her."

"Maybe she's no longer on Facebook. Maybe she deleted her account."

"Why! Why would she delete it?" How could she delete it? Nana said shouting.

"I felt pity for her. She was so stressed and she had high hopes of talking to her mom. I promise to find her mom."

"Nana stop crying. You need to stop crying, it won't do any good to the situation on the ground."

"Do you know what I am going through? Do you know how it feels for people not to see you anymore? Do you." Nana said sobbing.

"But I can see you."

"Yes, you can see me but my loved ones can't see me." Nana said putting her head on his shoulder.

"I promise to look for your Mom Nana," I said patting her back as she fell asleep.
