While the students hurriedly packed their baggage, The higher officials, the school council held an emergency meeting.
After the incident at Andrea Academy, one wouldn't need a seer to know that Arachis Academy was next on the chopping board. Besides, the attack patterns of the Black Dragon were not that difficult to predict. The only problem was not knowing when they would strike even if you knew where they would strike.
{School Council Meeting Room}
"We need all the help we can get!" Miss Anna raised her voice.
"It would be almost impossible to get any more external contractors now, Most of them would have contracted by other academies or are some kind of mission with their various guilds!" Mr Grater(head of the disciplinary committee) said.
"I agree with Grater." The one eyed man in charge of the Armory said.
"Then how do you suggest we tackle this impending doom." Mr Winston asked.
"What about Leo and Flynn? " Mr Azar, the one eyed man replied with a question.
"What about them?" Mr Winston furrowed his eyebrows.
"With all due respect, The military support dispatched from the government and those we've hired are not nearly enough.
Leo and Flynn are excellent fighters and we need all the help we can get at the moment." Mr Azar said.
"Very true sir." Me Grater added, with a sinister grin on his face.
"Anna, Joan what do you think?" Mr Winston asked.
Author's Note:{ Miss Joan is the Academy's head of Medics, sorry I forgot to mention this in the earlier chapters.}
"Well, I think it's a favourable idea. We do need all the help we can get." Nurse Joan said.
"Then so be it!" Mr Winston said, concluding the meeting.
. . .
Most of the students were already outside the school's main premise with their luggages waiting for the arrival of the school buses.
It wasn't long when ten gray coloured large sized buses arrived at their location.
The buses were quite similar to the ones that had brought them to the academy; the only difference being in the material used for construction.
*Tchhh!*
The doors of the buses opened as each halted right in front of the crowd of students.
In an orderly fashion, they filled the buses one by one; students and other none battle oriented staffs alike.
. . .
There figures on a hill three kilometers away from the academy, watched as some of the buses left the school on a straight line.
"These ones are quite smart." A little girl among the mysterious three chuckled.
Like the rest, she wore an all black attire. She had a black leather gown running down to her knees, with some silver appendages as decorations. She also had a pair of black shoes on coupled with black leggings covering every inch of her legs.
Her black mode of dressing contrasted sharply with her blond waist length hair and golden eyes.
"I seriously don't feel comfortable working with a little child" Falkore sighed.
"Hey! I am not that little!" The little girl, Nefertiti yelled.
"How old are you again?" Falkore asked in a mocking tone.
"I'm Thirteen!" Nefertiti proudly said.
"Why the hell did Rarkham pair us with this girl! We've been doing fine by ourselves." Falkore complained to his gray haired counterpart.
"The boss knows best." The gray haired man replied in a neutral tone.
"Ummmm please excuse me Mister." Nefertiti said.
"My name is White Fang or you just call me Fang for short."
"Sorry Mr Fang, I forgot your name." The little girl giggled.
"So when do we attack?" She asked.
"When all the buses leave the school." Fang replied.
"How many buses are we expecting??" Nefertiti asked again.
"Argghh!" Falkore yelled in frustration.
"Enough with the questions! Did you not read the mission report or something." He added.
"Ummmmm nope." She said.
"Then what the hell did you come here to do!" Falkore's veins bulged in anger.
"Fight I guess."
"Forget it, your hopeless." Falkore said as he walked away from her.
"According to our inside man there are supposed to be ten buses." Fang said.
"I've seen only six, where are the rest four?"
"I don't know, we just have to wait and see." Fang replied.
. . .
[ Two more minutes to departure] The automated voice echoed once again through out the entire academy while Adrian ran towards the buses.
