Life Force

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

The train sized snakes rammed into the blue barrier repeatedly creating multiple cracks on it.

"Hurry up Joan!! I won't last longer!" Aisha yelled.

Her whole figure was drenched in sweat as she mustered every ounce of energy to maintain the barrier.              But Mr Grater's attacks were unrelenting and persistent.

"You shouldn't have interfered!" Mr Grater yelled as he struck the barrier repeatedly making it look like a cracked vase.

*Krak-krak-krak!*

The cracks on the barrier widened. The barrier bright blue colour started to  grow dim signifying the caster's loss of energy.

"I can't hold on any longer!" Aisha yelled as the barrier finally gave way.

Fear crept into Aisha as she lost her only source of protection. She subconsciously fidgeted as she stared at the giant sized horde of snakes charging in on her.

"Wake her up Joan. Wake her up!" Aisha yelled.

"I'm trying. She is not completely healed. I still need to heal some fatal wounds " Nurse Joan replied.

"Just wake her up! or we are going to die!"

"Here goes nothing." Nurse Joan said to herself as her palms glowed several times brighter.

She poured her entire core energy into Miss Anna's body, speeding up her body's regeneration process by several folds but Miss Anna still remained unconscious.

With no options left, Aisha stretched her arms forward again as she casted another barrier over themselves again.

Unlike the last one, this one was  red in colour and it gave off an iron smell.

"What are you doing?" Nurse Joan raised her head as she noticed the red illumination above her head.

"Just hurry up!" Aisha said as a mouthful of blood accompanied each word she spoke.

"Stop it! stop it!" Nurse Joan yelled as tears ran down her eyes.

"Plea....."

*Bang!*

One of the giant snake slammed into the barrier cutting their conversation short.

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

They repeated the action severally.

Each time the barrier took a hit, Aisha coughed up a mouthful of blood.

'Is she using her life force to sustain the barrier?' Mr Grater raised a brow in amazement.

"Desperate times calls for desperate measures." Mr Grater said in a mocking tone.

"You should never have interfered.

We had no business with you. But unfortunately you are in a situation where you are making use of your life force to protect your friends. How pityful." He concluded as he raised his hands to the sky, before clapping both hands with immense force.

[Mud Supremacy: Behemoth]

Suddenly the horde of snakes stopped attacking and started to merge themselves, multiple chunks of rocks were ripped of the ground as they also merge with the horde of snakes.

The merging process looked like some sort of gummy goo reaction as the semi liquid mud took different shapes, sizes and forms.

As time went on, the giant mud began to develop a defined form as humanoid limbs extended from the slob until it took a definite form similar to that of a man.

The towering height of the mud figure sent chills down Nurse Joan spine, as even the head of the giant was not visible from her point of view.

Everyone in the Academy could see the giant towering dark brownish figure. Even Falkore was stunned to see the sheer size of it.

The right hand of the giant humanoid morphed into a Warhammer and without any delay it brought it's hand down with immense strength striking the red barrier.

*Bang!!!*

The sound from the collision thundered more than any  that had occurred since the battle began. The shockwave ripped multiple buildings of their foundation as it turned the once city like area into ruins.

The barrier itself was cracked beyond repair, but it had  survived the onslaught.

*Pwah!-pwah!*

Aisha coughed up a large amount of blood as she dropped to the ground her consciousness fading by the second.

The red barrier blinked a few times before it finally disappeared.

"Aisha!" Nurse Joan ran to her leaving Miss Anna.

"No no no!" Nurse Joan yelled as she placed her hands on Aisha's body but it didn't glow green as usual.

She had used up all her energy trying to revive Miss Anna.

"No no please!" Tears trickled down her face as she held Aisha's bloody figure.

Aisha's skin grew pale due to excessive blood loss. Her eyes lost their vibrant colour and her hair started to turn gray.

"How pityful. Weakness is truly disgusting." Mr Grater muttered to himself as the giant humanoid figure raised it's hand into the sky, preparing to deliver the final blow.

*Swoosh!!*

The hammer head hand descended with fire and intensity. It tore through the air, like an asteroid entering the atmosphere.

Its growing shadow on the ground gave of a foreboding sense.

The cloud parted at it's descension.

"Holy crap!!!" Nurse Joan muttered.

From her point of view, she could only see descending darkness with no end or edges.

"I guess this is how I die. Curse you Grater!" She concluded before pulling Aisha's half dead body into her embrace.
