Chapter 39 - Meet up with Ai

Wen woke up after a short nap on a new day, not that he needed to nap, but he liked the feeling of sleeping very much and he didn't want to just forego it as he liked taking small naps.

He had decided that he would keep his shop closed for the day as he wanted to go forward with his plan on getting revenge on Zhang Huan, which involved him meeting up with and spending time with his sister and deepening their bonds of friendship.

Since she wasn't responsible for the misfortune that had befallen him, he doens't have any grudge or feeling of revenge towards her, but she would be a good help in setting up his revenge against him.

From what he had managed to learn about her, she is not like her brother as she isn't power hungry and has mostly lived a pretty easygoing life with the help of her family's reputation, money and fame.

She didn't have much thought about taking over or destroying other families for power as she is satisfied with the position and money that her family has.

Unlike her brother who wants to gain control over the Xiao family and further his own power, she is fine with what her family grants her. And she also doesn't care much about it since as a member of the upper echelons of society, she would most probably be married off to a member of a high ranking family.

So whether she made efforts to further her position or not, she knew that she would be living a good life. Of course, that illusion shattered when her life was put into danger due to the attack on her and she was happy that she was saved by him.

Which was also why she had called him and had told him her wish to spend some time with her saviour and who was he to deny the call of a young maiden like her. It also helped in his plans as well, which only served to better his mood as well.

They had agreed to meet up with each other at a good restaurant and she has already given him the details and he has made sure that it is a good place to go to and is pretty secure as well.

He also wanted to do some other things, which is why he decided to close the shop for the day. That would also give his two employees a holiday as well, which he is sure that the two appreciated, as he can see that the two of them are preparing to spend their holiday and have already made plans as he couldn't help but smile.

'Also, it's bad to steal.' Wen thought to himself as he used his powers to reveal the location and information of a hacker to the authorities.

He wouldn't have intervened it the hacker went for money from the rich which they had made using bad means, but since the guy thought that it was a good idea to steal money from the hard working middle class, when they are already short of money due to their own lives and expenses, well, he couldn't help but intervene.

Not to mention, the guy also has some info about the corrupt in the government and also some additional info which he had downloaded into his laptop to make sure that their own wrongdoings will come to light.

And if the authorities themselves won't try to take down the corrupt and instead try to shield them. Well, they would sooner find themselves in the same position as the corrupt as well, in jail.

"Alright, it's time for me to meet up with Ai now." Wen said to himself as he left his apartment room.

He made his way to the restaurant while watching the nature and people around him as he couldn't help but smile at the happy birds, some cats and children who were laughing and going about their lives, not to mention the adults, well, those who were enjoying their time as well.

It was the little things that caused him to smile after all. It wasn't anything grand or life changing, just everyday normal small things which just made the world a bit more better to live in.

'And sometimes, that's all you need.' Wen thought to himself as he couldn't help but smile at the sight of a positive day.

"Well, no need to think about that right now." Wen said as he went to the restaurant.

He waited inside and as promised, Zhang Ai, the little sister of Zhang Huan, appeared with a smile on her face and a cheer to her step. He can see that she is quite happy with his meeting and he didn't find any reason for him to dampen her mood.

Her smile widened when she caught sight of him and made her way to him, while also being followed by two bodyguards, probably to keep her safe due to the recent kidnapping attempt.

He felt their eyes on him through their sunglasses but he didn't care about that. These two men weren't any threat to him, he can make them disappear before they even realised that anything has happened to them.

"Brother Wen, thank you for coming at my request." Ai said with a smile on her face.

"It is my pleasure, miss Ai." Wen said with a smile as he glanced at her bodyguards.

"It's fine to call me Ai, brother Wen. There is no problem with you calling me that." Ai said with a smile as she gave a glance to her guards who got the message.

"Well then, Ai. What have you planned for our little meet?" Wen asked her with a smile.

"I wanted to talk with you over breakfast. This is a great restaurant to have morning food and has variety as well." Ai said with a smile as he nodded at her words.

"That sounds like a good start." Wen said with a nod as she smiled at his words.

"Great. I had already reserved the table for us." Ai said with a smile as she went to get the staff to show them the table.

'Well, this will be a good morning.' Wen thought to himself as he walked with her after the staff had come to escort them to their table.

At the same time, Xiao Lin was looking at her phone at the rendered images of the files she has as she smiled to herself. She wanted to start her move but she wanted to discuss this with Wen one more time before they could put their plan into action.

'You will rue the day you decided to mess with my family, Zhang Huan.' Xiao Lin thought to herself as she gripped her phone.
