Purified Souls Ch.8 Living Life
Um...Hi. I'm Hoshizura Hibana. It has been a...few weeks since, I asked miss Estelle to help my brother Rean. Things have gotten better since then. Father has gotten less strict about us...
My brother will be able to finally move towards his dream of being a sword smith. Rean seems so much...happier now... He's been studying..and getting prepared.
My brother's not the smartest, but he can really apply himself when he focuses. Because our mother died 10 years ago when she gave birth to me, I feel that it is my responsibility to help around the house as well...
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how I should help... I don't have any talents like my brother and father yet.... I wish I had the skill to know how I could help them... I went to go see how my brother was doing.
I went to Rean's room.
Hoshizura asked with a caring tone, ''Rean? How is your studying going?''
Rean replied, ''Sister? Oh, sorry. I didn't notice you. Right now, I am busy figuring out the steps needed in order to become a professional sword smith. Hmm! I need to pay close attention to these books.''
Hoshizura asked, ''Is that the book, you got from Miss Estelle's place?'' Rean replied, ''Yeah. I got it a few days ago. It seems to be really helpful so far, I think...''
Cid said, ''Oh. You two, this is where you two are... Umm... Here you go. I'm giving you your allowance. You two, take it and buy yourself something nice. I'm going out for a bit. I thought I'd tell you.''
Hoshizura asked excitedly, ''Father? Really?'' Cid nodded and said, ''Yes. I must go now. I'll be back later.''
Hoshizura thought to herself, What should I do with it? . . . .Wait, I know! I'll buy a new summer outfit. I could use more cute outfits.
Hoshizura said gleefully, ''Brother. Bye now. I'm gonna go out and bye some clothes.'' Rean said half distracted, ''Okay..... See you.....later...''
Hoshizura told us, I decided to go to this clothing store I've been hearing about. Obviously, because this village is small, it wasn't too far a run... I made it to the business and I walked inside.
Familiar sweaty male said, ''Welcome to our stor-Ahh!-Hah!-OWww!!''
Hoshizura told us, The man who greeted me somehow lost balance behind the counter and hit his head on it. I think it looked painful.
Hoshizura asked, ''Umm, ..sir? Are you sure that you'll be okay?'' Sweaty male said nervously, ''Owww... Yeah-Yeah. I hate to admit it, but I'm used to this....''
Hoshizura said confused, ''Ummm...O...kay?'' Sweaty male said, ''Let me re-introduce myself less painfully this time... I am Ayumu Tanaka... There we go. Sorry about all that...''
Ayumu's Wife asked, ''Hey, little girl. Are you hear for my clothes?'' Hoshizura replied, ''Yes. My.....father gave me allowance this morning. Um....can you help me...find a summer outfit..to wear?''
Ayumu's Wife said gleefully, ''Sure. Hmmm...., Let's see... What would fit you?''
Hoshizura told us, After trying on lots of outfits, I bought one new yukata to wear..and decided to wear it...right away! I hope I look good in it.
Ayumu's Wife said, ''I'm glad you like it. My, you are so cute in that. (Giggles)'' Ayumu said with a smile, ''I hope you enjoy your new outfit.''
Hoshizura said, ''I hope to come again soon! By-bye now!'' Ayumu's wife asked, ''Isn't she just the cutest, dear?'' Ayumu replied, ''Your right about that, dearest.''
Hoshizura told us, After thinking about it, I decided that I would go to the park and take in the beauty like I've been enjoying more and more lately...
Hoshizura thought to herself, ''(Relaxed sigh) . . . .It is a beautiful day. It seems like everyone must be out today...''
Hoshizura told us, After taking in the sights for a while, I met a certain village girl I've seen around here before.
Hina asked with glee, ''Ohh! Hey, Hoshi! . .How have you been?'' Hoshizura replied, ''Alright. How are you?''
Hina replied with a smile, ''Quite fine... Right now, I came here to read myself a picture book.'' Hoshizura said, ''Ohh, okay. I hope you enjoy. I will leave you to be in peace then. (Jumps off) I've been here long enough already.''
Hina said gleefully, ''Alrighty... I hope you have a good day. See you Hoshi!''
Hoshizura told us, I left the park now, and I decided to see how Miss Estelle was doing. I went to Lumia's Bookstore...
It was fairly busy in her business, with a handful of customers looking at the bookshelves. That strange demon girl I met last time seems to be working the register now.
Male customer A said, ''Alright. I'll be off now. Bye.''
Hoshizura told us, I went inside, and that odd demon girl was the first to notice me.
Marisa asks with a realization, ''Hmm? . .Wait... Haven't I seen you...before?''
Hoshizura replied nervously, ''Oh, yes. I was the panicking girl that needed...Miss Estelle's help weeks ago...to stop my older brother....from hurting my father. Remember that? It wasn't to long ag-
(Gasp) . .I forgot. I wanted to apologize for how rude I was... when I reacted to your odd appearance! (Bows, bows)''
Marisa tried to remember, ''Older brother? . .Panicking child? . .Hurting her Father? Hmm... Ah!'' Marisa said with a vacant gaze, ''I.....remember... . .(Blush) I totally forgot.....how you reacted to my appearance.....back then.....''
Estelle asked coming from the backroom, ''Did I thought I heard a familiar voice? hm? Um? Wait! . .I recognize you!''
Hoshizura questioned, ''You do? Great... I wanted to see how your doing. An-and thank you again, for all that you did!!'' Estelle said with a smile, ''Your welcome... (Chuckle) . .How are your brother and father faring?''
Hoshizura replied with nervousness, ''Ohh! They are doing very well! My father's less stricter then he was before. My brother is currently doing research for his dream.''
Estelle said with a smile. ''I'm glad that we could help. I see that you seem to be in better spirits as well.''
Hoshizura said with a warm smile, ''Yeah... I am...'' Marisa clarified, ''I...wanted to let.....you know... I wasn't upset at all, .....how you reacted to me... I'm.....used to it... (Looks down)'' Hoshizura asked, ''Used....to..it? Why?''
Marisa said, ''Because...of my life ...before I met her. I am a demon....and it was.....expected...that someone...would react...to my appearance...'' Estelle giggled.
Teen customer asked, ''I would like this book, please.'' Marisa said, ''Ahh! Give me a...moment. I am coming...''
Teen customer said, ''Alright. Thank you. Goodbye.'' Estelle said with a smile, ''You see. Just recently, I trust Marisa enough now to have her run our register now. She's doing fairly well at the moment.''
Hoshizura asked, ''Wow! How does it feel so far?" Marisa said withdrawn, ''It's....um, okay....I suppose....'' Estelle said, ''Marisa. No need to be so shy.''
Hoshizura said with a warm smile, ''Don't worry about it. I think I've seen enough now. I will leave now...'' Estelle said waving her hand, ''Alright. Take care...'' Hoshizura said, ''Bye.''
Lady Customer asked, ''Can I have this book?'' Estelle said with encouragement, ''Your doing a fair job so far, Marisa. I need to be in the back for a while yet. Keep it up.''
Hoshizura told us, With that, I left Miss Estelle to her duties. I went back home to our mansion. I saw my brother, but he was busy at the moment.
After going in my room, I put my clothes I had on that morning in my closet. I decided to clean my room and organize things like I do sometimes. I like a clean room.
I decided to watch TV before going to sleep, then I started thinking. I wish I could have a dream like my brother. He looks so determined. He seemed to be so full of life now, studying like that...
I don't have any talents like them. I wish I did... After that, I went to sleep for the night.
Next early morning.... In my brother's room.
Rean realized, ''Hmm... After reading this, it seems like my only course of action.....is to...work under...a master sword smith for a period of time.
I wonder if I can find someone that will teach me how to be a master... It also seems like...I would.....need to obtain...a license as well.''
Rean started thinking, ''How can I achieve that? Hmmm.....?''
