Chapter 172: Our night

While Avery was climbing the stairs, she finally stopped on the hallway. She turned to look at the painting on the wall that has a man wearing a black mask holding a sword. Even though she already knew it was James, but yet for some weird and uncomfortable reasons, she doubted it could be him. Since she went back to past, she didn't see something like this or could there be more that has been erased?

Even though , the whole secrets has been revealed , she still felt something amiss. Why does her heart feel as if it's absence? She thought carefully and slowly approached the painting on the wall. She slowly moved her finger to touch it hoping it won't burn her, but to her utmost surprised, she placed her finger on the painting and it burned her.
