The air crackled with tension as Midas and the rest of the Scouts looked at each other questioningly. There seemed to be heavy movement behind that wall. Was there going to be another fight soon?
"Don't do anything rash. It might be a coincidence. If a fight comes, just respond at that moment," said Midas, his words calming the battle-ready Scouts behind him.
As they stood before the makeshift fortress that was the Snow Mountain Clan's Fort, the movements became more streamlined, with more and more people lining the walls as time passed.
The walls soon became adorned with armed figures that stood there looking down vigilantly at Midas and the Scouts, who stood beneath them on the desert floor.
Midas did not want to spend too much time there because there were creatures that could come out of the floor and try to eat him up. He was not looking forward to any of that at all.
