Another Day, Another Distraction

Midas sat on his bed in the early morning, with his eyes closed in meditation. He had tried something a few hours back and it had proven three things that were both vital and slightly terrifying.

The first: Everyone around might be under the control of the Will and the Will was influencing them to move in certain ways.

Midas had come to this conclusion after seeing the way his mother acted. She had been always begging for him to stay and even used threats and manipulation to get her way, forcing Midas to acquiesce due to various very shoddy reasons.

Midas was sure that even if he had made it into Patricia's room, something would have happened which would have turned the situation upside down. It could have been anything from her getting sick to Midas getting sick… the possibilities were too many to count.

The second: The Will had access to his thoughts and could read his mind, finding out his plans and future actions.
