'Do you suppose he had two then, Milord?' Fabian suddenly asked in Azel's mind, causing him to sharply turn his head to look at his aide in surprise.

'You heard me?' Azel asked, slightly dumbfounded. 'How—'

'You left the mind link open,' Fabian calmly pointed out and Azel sighed. 'You seem rather disoriented today, Milord. Are you sure it isn't related to your excitement?'

"Fabian."

"Of course, I'll be quiet."

Azel let out another resigned sigh and returned his attention to the maid walking in front of him. 'But you may be right,' he agreed to his aide's earlier statement. 'He may have had two, and the other might have passed away.'

'Then do you think she's the first or second?' Fabian inquired curiously. 'She appears far too old for someone who was three years old eleven years ago…'
