Adelia woke up with her eyelids feeling heavy. She blinked up at her brightly lit ceiling a few times before rubbing her eyes, wincing at the sharp prick it caused.
They hurt; for how long had she been crying? Adelia supposed she had cried herself to sleep. She turned her head toward one of her windows, shifting her weight on the large bed.
Just as she was waking up, the events of the previous day, after she had frozen her bathroom door, were a bit hazy.
Adelia pouted at the sight outside her window; Why was she up at this hour? The sun had barely risen, and it was still so early in the morning.
As she continued to admire the orange hue of the sky, colored by the rising sun, realization slowly dawned on her.
Wait... yesterday? Morning? Adelia's eyes widened, and she immediately sat up in bed, looking around her room wildly, her pearl hair a tousled mess, much like her room.
