Azel's eyes casually shifted to her son, the boy who clung to his mother, seemed to look up at him in awe.
However, when Azel smiled down at him, contrary to his earlier reaction, the child seemed to retreat slightly, pressing himself closer to his mother, seemingly wanting to merge with her.
The woman rubbed his back affectionately. "Don't be scared, Terry, mother's here with you." Then she turned back to Azel, the flush on her cheeks showing no signs of fading. "You seem new here, sir. Is there anything you would like to find out?"
Azel solemnly nodded. "You're quite perceptive; I am indeed new to the capital," he complimented, and she blushed even more. "I came for business, but first, I wanted to seek blessings from the temple," then he looked around. "But there appears to be a commotion."
The woman followed his gaze, then the top of her nose wrinkled and her brow furrowed when her eyes caught the man being pinned down by two guards.
