Adelia felt a vivid shiver run down her spine at his response; why did she get the feeling that those were the exact words he wanted to hear?
She mentally shook her head to dispel the thought. He was notorious but surely he couldn't have anticipated this.
She gave him a critical once over just to make sure, before taking her place in front of the work table properly and readying her knife.
"Well," she prompted, "What are you waiting for? Teach me."
Azel pursed his lips in an effort to hold back a smile, "Don't you know that vegetables must be rinsed first before they are cut, Milady?"
Adelia stiffened and a moment later, a small blush crept up her cheeks. "I knew that." She defended, dropping her knife and gathering the ingredients into a bowl. "It just slipped my mind."
Azel merely chuckled. "Of course it did."
