#1: Intro

Intro:

Running late to a job interview, 20-year-old Hiroto Suzuki is rushing through the street. He almost got hit by a car, but his life depended on this job as it is a one-in-a-million chance he could ever get such a high-paying opportunity. Unfortunately for Hiroto, his interview is on the 13th floor. Rumors say that 13 is an unlucky number, and most buildings avoid having a 13th floor. If a building has the 13th floor, it is said to get off at the 12th floor on the elevator and take the stairs to the 13th floor. Hiroto has always followed this rule since he was a kid, but now he is in a rush and already exhausted from the run. He brushes it off, saying it's just a childish tale. Hiroto was nervous the whole time, as this is his first time ignoring the rule. But he starts to ease up as soon as the 13th floor arrives and he hears a ding, signifying that the door is about to open. However, as soon as the elevator door opens just a little bit, Hiroto notices the sign change from 13 to "error." Hiroto starts to panic as the elevator violently shakes and then plummets at fast speeds. Hiroto resigns himself, knowing his life is over, and regrets not getting off at the 12th floor. But then he realizes that he's falling for too long. He tries to brush it off, saying, "Maybe they have a deep underground basement, but no place could have a basement this deep." It doesn't matter because as soon as the elevator lands, he thinks he'll be dead.

The Basement:

It feels like nearly two hours of falling, and the crash is loud, as if he crashed really hard. However, in reality, he lands softly. In fact, it doesn't feel like he crashed at all, and right now Hiroto's feels better than ever before. Hiroto has no time to think as the elevator door quickly opens wide with a scary tone. Hiroto looks around but can't tell where he is. "Am I in hell or something?" he wonders. However, it definitely doesn't look like hell. In fact, it looks like a basement or an underground warehouse. Hiroto thinks to himself. After looking around, Hiroto finds something—a letter that reads: "If you're reading this, then you are lucky, as this letter is going to give you some hints and guidance. You have already played around with the unlucky number 13, which brought you here. This place is not hell, but it is not a place on Earth either. You're in my realm, my dimension. Trust my words, and don't think this is a prank. Your life is at risk. Don't worry about your job interview; this is it. If you haven't guessed it already, I am a demon who is watching you at all times. Don't try to escape because you can't without my help. Now, be a good boy and play my game, and as a reward, you'll walk away with your life and work at my company. Yes, that's right—my company. Did you really think a high-paying job like this is normal for the work you would be doing? Ha! That makes me laugh. Humans would do anything for money. Oh, wait, hmm, what was that thing you signed to get into my interview? Oh, right, our contract that says our agreement that I can do anything I want with you. This letter is long enough, so the rules of the game are like that Pepper Pig horror game and that crazy granny who kidnaps people and gives them five days to live. You know those games, right? Well, the rules will be the same as those. And if you don't know them, then I guess you failed the interview, and I'll kill you. As for the entities chasing you, be careful running around corners and walking into rooms. There is an entity that camps there and can kill you in an instant. You'll know it's there when it makes a choking noise. If you walk past it, there is still a chance to survive if you're lucky."

Survival!!!

Hiroto thinks about what would have happened if he had missed the note. It probably wouldn't be easy, but he could still survive even if he didn't read the letter. The letter is just a little hint. Hiroto suddenly gets a gut feeling to hide, and so he does. What he sees is terrifying—a monster lurking around with a long tentacle that forms in the shape of wings. It is very tall with a long, crooked neck and is wearing a shirt saying "I'm an angel." The monster walks down the hall with its eyes glowing red. When it turns the corner, Hiroto waits a good moment before coming out of hiding. However, just as Hiroto is about to come out, the monster's head comes flying from around the corner, looking around with a stretched neck. The head comes close to where Hiroto is hiding, but Hiroto has already moved to the other side of the box. The monster's anger is clearly visible. Hiroto realizes that the monster knows he is there and is actively looking for him. After the monster withdraws its head, Hiroto is certain it is gone. But to be sure, he runs around the corner the other way and notices a door. Hiroto is cautious and opens the door quietly and slowly. Once he sees the room is empty, he quickly enters and closes the door with slight relief, but he remains on guard. Hiroto searches the room and finds a map. It seems to be a map of the area he is in, and it even shows where he is now. Oddly enough, his current location appears as a red glowing dot on the map. Hiroto assumes the paper has some ink that makes it glow or something. He also finds a flashlight and a backpack with a journal, some snacks, and useful tools. Hiroto reads the journal while hiding under an office desk in the room. There, he discovers that someone else had previously experienced his situation, and from this, he learns more about the monstrous creature and the things present in this dimension. He learns about their weaknesses and what is not effective, and he also realizes that he can't trust everything the creator of this dimension says.
