A Good Night

Amelie

My lips fell apart for a visceral inhale as I pulled away the last bit of ribbon holding down my dress to its box. Just two days ago Casmir had sent Liam and I an invitation to the launching party of his new company 'Tidal.'

At first Liam was against the decision of honoring this invitation. But after a day of thinking, he finally agreed for us to accept the invitation, according to him it would help foster peace between the two brothers, and hopefully Woods and Tidal would become partners in business.

Glad that nobody was around to see, I threw the dress over myself immediately and rushed to get a better view by the mirror.

As I stood before the full-length mirror, the soft glow of the chandelier above casting a warm, flattering light, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement and anticipation. My fingers delicately grazed the fabric of my party dress, tracing the intricate details that make it so enchanting.
