One Thing I Can Do

Amelie

My deadened limbs came alive the moment the clock by my side struck one. I had only ten minutes left to pick Junior from the nursery. Since we had no nanny, we dropped junior off at the nursery everyday before we headed to work. Luckily, it wasn't too far off from where we worked, and it made things a lot easier for Hassan and I.

I've had a long day, but hopefully things would return to normal the moment I set eyes on my baby's smile. Unlike his father, he brought my joy and peace. A mere glance at his bright and innocent smile was enough to turn my day around, and I needed it now more than ever. Seeing Liam here had thrown me off balance, but luckily I had been able to keep myself under control.
