A Normal Life

Amelie

I thought my day couldn't get any worse until Luke called to inform me that Timothy was killed. The only man who had the information to save me and my family from Anna had been killed. I felt like I was losing my mind, but that wasn't the only thing. Apparently the killer had taken pictures of Liam and Luke when they went out to bury Timothy's body. Things were a lot worse than I imagined.

Exhaustion seeped into every fiber of my being. It wasn't just the weariness that came from lack of sleep; it was the deep, soul-crushing exhaustion that weighed me down. Hassan hasn't spoken to me in days. The only time he ever showed any signs of concern was whenever we were both playing with Junior. But even then the look in his eyes was cold and judging.
