Most Difficult Decision

Amelie

Emmanuel Lodge glared at me as though I'd ran mad, and at that moment I knew it had been a good idea to not bring Liam with me. I had just informed him that I was returning to Europe with Liam next week, and all he could do was glare at me as though I'd lost my mind. I hadn't told him about the incident with me and Hassan, and I could guess that's why he was looking at me this way. But after I explained everything to him, I was certain father would agree, or so I thought.

"Nonsense!" He declared. "You can still patch things up with Hassan, Amelie. He might have messed up this once, but he's a lot better than that man." Father concluded, his words stern and said with no intentions of being taken back.

"He has a surrogate. How on earth am I supposed to live with the fact that his best friend is the mother of his child?" I argued firmly.
