Chapter Nine

I woke up the next morning very late. Kyra hadn't come home so there was no one to stop me from oversleeping.I hurriedly took my bath, brushed my teeth and dressed up. There was no time for breakfast so I hopped on my bike and zoomed off. I got to school late even with all the rush. The first class was almost over and thank God,the teacher didn't ask for any explanation from me. I sat next to Toria so I could get down the notes. After the first class,we as science students were free. I busied myself copying the notes I missed.Rio walked up to me and sat in front of me. I didn't spare him a look and just rolled my eyes inward.

" You were late today,why?" he asked.

" Stop acting like you care" I said.

" It's not an act"

" I overslept"

" Oh okay! You're looking amazing"

" Thanks" I said as I finally looked up at him.

" What's the secret?" he asked with a wink.

" Nothing! I'm just being me" I said with a shrug.

" Okay, Quick question. Are you gay?"Rio asked and I laughed.

" What? No!" I Said.

" Have you ever dated someone? Anyone?"

" Of course yes! I've dated more than ten guys"I said.

" At once" I added.

His eyes widened.

" What...? How could you...

" It's easy. Just accept them everyday and break up with them on a daily basis" I said

" Wow! You're a play Girl"

" Like you"

" Exactly! That's why you're my spec"he said and winked at me. I rolled my eyes.

" We'll roll on so well. Don't you think?"

" Yeah. And we won't use each other like deodorants " I said and he laughed.

" I love your sense of humor "

" Got it from someone "

" Tell me, who?"

" Nah, never mind "

" So tell me about you" Rio said. " Your family "

" Well, my parents are in Canada "

" Have you got any siblings?"

" Yeap! An elder brother and a twin sister"

" Wow! You have a twin"

" Yeap. "

" Are you guys close?"

" We were till we started having issues. She started pushing me away and I didn't let her off so easily. Reason why I'm here, Dad thinks we just need time apart. For us to come back to our senses"

" Oh!" he said and I nodded.

" Another quick question, who's more pretty. You or your twin?"

" I don't mean to brag or anything buh I'm prettier. Way more prettier"

" That's cool."

He said nothing else and I had nothing else to say either. So I simply stood up and walked out on him. He didn't stop me so I deduced that our conversation was over. Perfect riddance!!!
