"Spider-Man?"
Lizard-Man Peter hurled the headless body in his hand against the wall with a careless thud, smashing it against a trash can.
Then he turned his greedy gaze on Gwen.
"All these guys are too tough to eat, and your appearance is just what it takes to fill my belly."
With these words, the Lizard-Man Peter jumped to the ground.
The white bone fragments were still mixed with the whitish liquid.
It was unclear if it was Peter's saliva or brain matter.
A few punks were behind her.
Some of them had already fainted from shock, and only two who were still able to think were trembling.
"Peter, listen to me."
"It's not too late for you to turn back."
Gwen didn't want to convince Peter the Lizard-Man in a violent way.
"Who are you?"
Peter instantly became alert, his body slowly lowering into an attack position.
Buzzing!
Almost at the same time, a danger signal sounded in Gwen's head.
Without the slightest hesitation, Gwen immediately released the web from her wrist and caught Peter the Lizard's legs.
"Peter, come to your senses."
With his legs trapped, which meant he couldn't rush in to attack Spider-Man, Peter the Lizard stood up and spread his arms wide. "No, Spider-Man."
"Now I feel extraordinarily well, my whole body is filled with great strength."
"No one can mock me anymore."
Looking at Peter, he was now the complete opposite of the original Peter Parker.
"Listen, Peter, you've developed a mutation because of the lizard gene, now I'm going to take you to Professor Connors."
"There has to be a way to get you back to your old way of life."
"Go back to the old?"
Peter's tone instantly turned somber: "You're wrong, Spider-Man!"
"I'm not mutating, I'm evolving!"
"You don't even understand, the regenerative genetic reagent is the greatest invention of the century."
"Really?"
"If you don't want to, then I'll beat you up first."
"And then I'll take you to Professor Connors."
"And before that, I'll tear you apart!"
Peter the Lizard opened his sharp claws and reached for the web at his feet, then his sharp claws tore apart Gwen's web.
Just as he was about to do it, Gwen got to him first and stabbed Peter the Lizard right in the face.
In one swift movement, Peter the Lizard flew backwards and crashed into the trash can behind him.
"Don't leave yet!"
Gwen looked at the few punks behind her.
But all of them were weak on their feet now, not to mention running.
It was enough just to stand.
A drunk woman was standing next to them under a street lamp.
"We can't fight here, we have to lure Peter to another place for that."
Gwen understood that if the fight started here, the Lizard-Man Peter would use these people behind his back as hostages.
"Hey, big green guy!"
"Didn't you just say that this is a great evolution? Why is it just one hit and it doesn't work anymore?"
"Oh~ I almost forgot, the lizard should be at the bottom of the food chain."
Gwen scoffed, thinking about how to lure Peter out of the affected area.
The roof of the bungalow.
"Could rapid regeneration be an ability common to all Spider-Men?"
No wonder Spider-Man and Deadpool were known as the two biggest talkative people in Marvel.
In the trash, Peter the Lizard shook his dumbfounded head.
The force of this blow was too great.
If it wasn't for the fact that the lizard's physique was quite strong and hardy, he would have immediately lost consciousness.
"Spider-Man, you must not forget that lizards are the natural enemies of spiders!"
Adjusting, Peter instantly crept up the wall and, using all his limbs, quickly approached Gwen with a speed that was difficult to catch.
But Gwen had never fought anyone.
Her spider sense was her main advantage.
Having determined the direction of Peter the Lizard's attack, Gwen quickly shot a web in that direction.
This time the web was cut off by Peter.
Gwen also took advantage of the gap to move to the entrance of the alley. "Hey, here he is."
"You're fighting my web, you mean you're my natural enemy."
I must say that Gwen had a great voice.
Peter the Lizard was not as good-natured as the original Peter, and immediately burst into a rage.
He followed her at a brisk pace.
After walking for a while through various alleys, Gwen got a view of the park.
There was no one here at all.
Just what she needed.
Gwen stopped at a street lamp and looked at Peter the Lizard, who jumped out of the residential block.
"Big guy, I didn't expect you to follow me."
"Okay, Peter, next time I'll kick your ass and take you back!"
Gwen immediately jumped up and gave Peter the Lizard a good beating.
In the end, she grabbed Peter the Lizard by the web again, twisted him around her, and then beat him right in the park.
During this process, Peter the Lizard never touched Gwen.
These were almost always one-sided strikes.
"That's it, Peter."
"Be a good boy and come with me, you don't want to get hurt again either."
"Come with me to Professor Connors and find a way to undo your mutation."
Suddenly Gwen's face changed, and she struck a pose, looking warily in the direction of Peter the Lizard.
A massive Peter Lizard appeared between the smoke and dust.
There was a small smile on the lizard's face, which looked very sinister.
"No, Spider-Man."
"Your attacks won't help you, I've already said that this is the greatest evolution of all."
The wounds on Peter's body were rapidly recovering at a speed visible to the naked eye in the light of a street lamp.
"Spider-Man, in the course of what I just did, I learned one truth."
"The truth?"
"The truth that you can't beat me?"
"Of course not."
"I understood what you were afraid of in me and what those people were afraid of when they saw me."
Gwen froze, who wouldn't be scared to see such a big monster appear in the middle of the night.
I do not know how Peter the Lizard grew up.
Did the mutation lead to a decrease in IQ, the old Peter was pretty smart.
"Because I am different from them, they are afraid of me."
"Because I'm different from humans, you say I'm a mutation, not an evolution."
"Then if I take all of humanity with me and join the glorious evolution, then I won't be a monster."
"Rather, I am the God of all mankind..."
