Unknown creature [part 2]

He could feel his muscles twitch in anticipation as he got closer, but when tiny particles came from the ceiling, which he did not glance at, Cristian froze.

Something was at the ceiling, and it watched him. He just didn't know how many eyes it had, probably not two, since he could list a good number of crawlers with a scary set of eyes.

Casting two arrows of decay, he leaped forward and fell into the pool, creating a splash.

The water was shallow, but the pain from slamming against the rocky bed of the pool dispersed as quickly as it came because of the cool sensation squirming through his body.

Kii!

A piercing screech came from above, making Cristian ignore the pleasurable coolness and turn toward the ceiling.

His sword lit up, illuminating his surroundings, and he lifted it high to get a view of the creature at the ceiling.
